07 Apr 19- Business Alert-1st, 11th, 15th and 25th District-Robberies-19-CWP-009 NPThis alert gives notice of commercial burglaries to restaurants, convenience stores, and storage facilities. The method of entry has varied based on the structure. The offender made access through roof vents at single story structures and pried/broke doors and windows on larger commercial buildings. Once inside, the offender demolished walls to gain access to registers and offices when necessary. The registers were pried open and an unknown amount of US currency was taken, along with other property.

24 Feb 19-Community Alert- Kidnapping Luring 15th District(Austin)JC161675 NPOn Thursday February 21, 2019, at approximately 8:35 a.m., an 11-year-old female juvenile was walking in the 300 block of South Lavergne Ave. when an African-American male in a vehicle asked the victim for her name, motioned her over to the vehicle, asked for her phone number and where she was going. The juvenile, in fear, ran southbound.

07 Feb 19 - Community Alert- Aggravated Battery 15th District (Austin) NP JC142609On February 6, 2019 at approximately 4:15 p.m., a 48-year-old man was sitting on a South Bound Cicero Ave. CTA bus located in the 300 block of North Cicero Ave. While the man was sitting toward the rear of the bus, the offender, who was sitting next to the victim, fell asleep on the victim. The man then pushed the offender off and the offender then brandished a knife and cut the victim. The victim sustained a cut in the face. The victim, while attempting to defend himself grabbed the knife and was cut on his hand. The offender then fled the bus and boarded a following CTA bus headed southbound on Cicero Ave.

In these robberies, the rideshare drivers picked up an African-American male offender and at some point during the ride the offender displayed a handgun and demanded property from the rideshare driver.
