About This Crime
On May 13, 2017, at approximately 9:50 p.m., an 8 year-old female was riding her
bicycle on the 700 block of N. Long Ave. when an unknown male subject approached
her near the intersection of Long Ave. and Chicago Ave. The male subject pointed to
the park located at Howe School across the street and stated to her, “Meet by the park,
I will be there.” The child then immediately rode her bicycle back home. The male
subject then walked southbound on Long Ave. and westbound on Huron Ave.
About the Offender
Male Black, approximately 35-55 years of age, 5’08”-5’09” in height, 160-180 pounds,
black hair, short hair style, brown eyes, possibly wearing an orange shirt.

• Call 911 to report any suspicious persons or activity.
• Walk in pairs.
• Don’t talk to strangers or approach strange vehicles.
• Be aware of your surroundings and travel in well lit and populated areas.

12 May 17- Community Alert- 15th District Wanted for Sexual Exploitation of a Child

About This Crime
On May 12, 2017, at approximately 8:04 A.M., a minor female was walking to school
from the 4900 block of Monroe St., traveling E/B. The unknown offender was walking
S/B on Lavergne Ave. and began to follow the victim as she walked E/B on Monroe St.
toward Cicero Ave. The offender walked up beside the victim and told her “You are
beautiful” and continued to walk E/B with the victim. The victim then began to walk N/B
on Cicero Ave when the offender told the victim “You are too young for this” and
displayed his penis to the victim. The victim then ran N/B on Cicero and ran to Kipp
Create School at 4818 W. Ohio St., where the victim attends and alerted school
officials. School officials then in turn called police.
About the Offender
• The offender is a male black, approximately 24-45 years of age, 5″06″ to 5’08” in
height, 150 to 190 lbs., medium complexion, with brown eyes. The offender was
last seen wearing red/black/gold leather jacket and blue jean pants.

• Don’t talk to strangers or approach strange vehicles

About the Crime:
This alert gives notice of recent Armed Robberies/Strong Armed Robberies that have
occurred in the 15th District. In each incident, the offender(s) approached the victims while
they are alone and returning to their vehicles after exiting businesses along Chicago Avenue.
All incidents are occurring in the late evening hours. Incident times and locations are listed
below:
• 5100 Block of West Chicago on April 22, 2017 at 11:15pm.
• 5600 Block of West Chicago on April 25, 2017 at 10:45pm.
• 5200 Block of West Chicago on April 29, 2017 at 10:30pm.
• 5600 Block of West Chicago on April 30, 2017 at 10:48pm.
About the Offender(s):
• #1 Male black, 28 to 35 years-old, approx. 5’10”-6’1″ , approx. 170-190lbs
• #2 Male black, 20 to 30 years-old, approx. 5’5″-5’7″, approx.150-170lbs

• Report suspicious activity immediately
• If you are confronted by an assailant remain calm
• Remember any unique physical characteristics (ie., scars, limp, acne, teeth)
• Never pursue a fleeing assailant, provide the information to the police

23 Apr 17- 15th District Community alert attempt kidnapping

About This Crime
• On April 23, 2017, at approximately 3:35 p.m., a female juvenile was playing on
the sidewalk near Jackson and Lockwood. The minor fell off her bicycle and an
unknown offender approached her and put a plastic bag over her head. The
minor got scared and kicked the offender causing him to run away east on
Jackson then south on Lockwood. The minor ran into the home where her
mother was visiting and alerted her mother who then called 911. The victim was
visiting relatives and is not familiar with the neighborhood.
About the Offender and Vehicle
• The offender is a male black, dark complexion, 5 ”5, medium build, approximate
40 years of age, with a bald head. The offender has a tattoo of a heart on his
neck and was wearing a brown long sleeve shirt, black pants, and blue low top
gym shoes.

About the Crime:
This alert gives notice of recent Armed Robberies and Vehicle Hijackings that
occurred in the 11th and 15th Districts. In each incident, the offenders approached the
victims from a white vehicle, displayed handguns with extended clips and demanded
property and vehicle from the victims. Incident times and locations are listed below:
• 4300 Block of West Fifth Avenue on April 8, 2017 at 5:00am.
• 2400 Block of West Taylor on 13 April, 2017 at 07:00am.
• 4700 Block of West Arthington Avenue on April 15, 2017 at 3:00am.
• 4700 Block of West Polk Avenue on April 15, 2017 at 6:20am.
• 1100 Block of South Cicero Avenue on April 16, 2017 at 6:45pm.
