19 FEB 17 CA JA-156319 child lure 016 DistrictOn February 16, 2017, at approximately 4:00 p.m., a minor female was walking home from school. The unknown offender was driving a grey mini-van in the 6700 block of West Hurlbut Street. . As the minor female walked the offender drove alongside with the passenger side window rolled down. The offender first said “Do you want a ride” and the victim just kept walking. The offender then said “Hey want to get in my car, we can hang out”, the victim continued walking. The offender then stopped at the stop sign and waited for the minor female and said “Do you have Snapchat, maybe we can exchange snaps”. The victim in fear for her safety ran from the scene and notified her mother who called 911.

In these incidents, unknown offender(s) gain entry by forcibly kicking or prying open the front, rear or side doors. Offender(s) then take jewelry, cash and computer equipment.

In these incidents, unknown offender(s) have entered apartments and residences, through windows or doors, and have taken electronics, jewelry, cash, and other miscellaneous items.

08Jan16- Charge Release for Malik Steffon Neal

Neal was arrested after he forced his way past TSA agents into a secured area of a terminal at O’Hare International airport. The incident occurred on January 8, 2017 at approximately 4:55 p.m. Neal entered a restricted area without a valid ticket and ignored agents along with Chicago Police officers commands to stop.

DUI SATURATION PATROL – JEFFERSON PARK (16th) DISTRICTS

The Chicago Police Department will be conducting a DUI Saturation Patrol in the Jefferson

Park (016th District) this weekend. The DUI Saturation Patrol will commence at 7:00 p.m. on

Friday, January 06, 2017 and end at 3:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 07, 2017.

The purpose of this program is to saturate a pre-designated area with roving police officers

that continually monitor vehicular traffic for signs of impaired driving. Patrols also place

emphasis on speed, alcohol-related and safety belt violations. Police vehicles equipped for

speed detection are deployed to apprehend speeding violators.

In addition, the Breath Alcohol Testing (BAT) Mobile Unit may also be deployed to allow

officers to expedite the process of charging a person with Driving under the Influence (DUI)

prior to transporting an alleged into the nearest lockup for bonding. The mobile unit also allows

for Individual Recognizance Bonds (I-Bonds) to be issued at the site of the DUI Saturation

Patrol.

The DUI Saturation Patrol conducted along Lake Shore Drive in the Central District (001st) and

Near North District (018th) on December 30 – 31, 2016, resulted in the following:

Driving Under the Influence 0

Speed Violations 6

Driver’s License Violations 5

Insurance Violations 3

Traffic Violations (Other) 18

Total Citations 32

Other Arrests 0

Vehicles Towed 0

This alert gives notice of Armed Robberies that have occurred within the boundaries of the 016th District (Jefferson Park). During two of the robberies the offender approaches the victims on the street, strikes the victim in the head and takes the victim’s purse. In one case, the offender displayed a handgun, struck the victim in the head and took the victim’s purse.
