DUI SATURATION PATROL – JEFFERSON PARK (16th) DISTRICTS
The Chicago Police Department will be conducting a DUI Saturation Patrol in the Jefferson
Park (016th District) this weekend. The DUI Saturation Patrol will commence at 7:00 p.m. on
Friday, January 06, 2017 and end at 3:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 07, 2017.
The purpose of this program is to saturate a pre-designated area with roving police officers
that continually monitor vehicular traffic for signs of impaired driving. Patrols also place
emphasis on speed, alcohol-related and safety belt violations. Police vehicles equipped for
speed detection are deployed to apprehend speeding violators.
In addition, the Breath Alcohol Testing (BAT) Mobile Unit may also be deployed to allow
officers to expedite the process of charging a person with Driving under the Influence (DUI)
prior to transporting an alleged into the nearest lockup for bonding. The mobile unit also allows
for Individual Recognizance Bonds (I-Bonds) to be issued at the site of the DUI Saturation
Patrol.
The DUI Saturation Patrol conducted along Lake Shore Drive in the Central District (001st) and
Near North District (018th) on December 30 – 31, 2016, resulted in the following:

CPD COMMUNITY ALERT- Armed and Strong-Arm Robberies 016th District
This alert gives notice of Armed Robberies that have occurred within the boundaries of the 016th District (Jefferson Park). During two of the robberies the offender approaches the victims on the street, strikes the victim in the head and takes the victim’s purse. In one case, the offender displayed a handgun, struck the victim in the head and took the victim’s purse.

CPD Community Alert – Residential Burglaries 16th District (Jefferson Park)
This alert gives notice to the residents of the 16th District (Jefferson Park) of several residential and apartment burglaries that have occurred in the month of November. In these incidents, unknown offender(s) have entered apartments and residences through front or rear doors and have taken jewelry, cash, and other miscellaneous items. Offender(s) also use deceptive ruses to gain entry to the residences where one offender distracts the victim while another offender enters the residence. For More Information Click Here

This alert gives notice to the residents of the 16th District (Jefferson Park) of several residential burglaries that have occurred during the month of November 2016. CPD COMMUNITY ALERT- Suspicious Person 016th District
On November 17, 2016 at approximately 8:00 a.m., a 16-year-old female was parking her vehicle in the 7500 block of West Everell to attend classes nearby. An unknown subject pulled up in an SUV and told the victim to come to his car. The victim refused and re-entered her vehicle and locked the doors. The unknown subject then fled E/B on Everell towards Harlem.
CPD COMMUNITY ALERT- 016th District Garage Burglaries
This alert gives notice to the residents of the 16th District (Jefferson Park) of several garage burglaries that occurred during the month of November. In these incidents, unknown offender(s) gained entry by forcibly kicking or prying open the overhead or side doors. Offender(s) also entered through unlocked doors. Offender(s) removed lawn care equipment, bicycles, and computer I-Pads.

CPD COMMUNITY ALERT- Seeking Information about a Fatal Traffic Crash 016th District
On November 13, 2016 at 4:11 p.m. a vehicle was turning southbound on Central Ave. from Giddings St. in the 016th District when it struck two pedestrians in the crosswalk. A 2-year-old male sustained severe injuries and was pronounced on scene. A 39-year-old female sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was treated at Lutheran General Hospital. Chicago Police Detectives are seeking any and all information about this incident.

CPD Community Alert – Wanted for Attempt Criminal Sexual Assault 16th District (Jefferson Park)
On October 24, 2016 at approximately 4:00 a.m., the female, 37, was walking to the blue-line train stop through a parking garage located in the 8400 block of W. Bryn Mawr Avenue. As the she was walking, she noticed a male subject inside the parking garage. The male approached the female from behind and knocked her to the ground. The offender demanded the victim remove her clothing. The victim struggled with the offender and was able flee to safety. The offender fled southbound from the parking lot.
