About This Crime:
On January 20, 2015, at approximately 3:15 p.m., a 10 year-old male and an 8 year old female were walking home from school on the 3900 block of N. Spaulding Ave., when a vehicle containing two male subjects attempted to engage the children in conversation. The passenger of said vehicle requested the children to come over to his vehicle, stating he would offer them a ride home or anywhere they wish to go. After the children didn’t respond, the passenger offered them candy and appeared like he was going to exit his vehicle. The children fled to their residence and the vehicle drove away.

There have been four recent Commercial Burglaries in the 17th District. In these cases, an unknown offender shatters the front glass door/window of a business with a brick or concrete block, enters the business, and takes property from the business.
About the Crime:
On 5 January 2015, at approximately 8:45 PM, a 13 year old female was walking home from a friend’s house in the 3700 block of west Ainslie when an adult male offender approached her from behind. The offender uttered unknown words to her in Spanish and grabbed the victim’s buttocks. The victim began to scream and the offender fled through a nearby gangway.

There have been recent Commercial Burglaries in the 17th District. In these cases, unknown offenders forcibly enter a cell phone store by throwing a brick through the front window, or by prying open the rear door, and then enter business and take cell phones, USC, and other merchandise.
