This alert gives notice to two recent Forcible Entry Burglaries of businesses. In both of these burglaries, two offenders entered the business with the use of a pry tool / crow bar. The offenders then took beauty products and cosmetics. The offenders then fled the area, in at least one instance, a white or silver pick-up truck.

In each of the incidents, the victim’s vehicle was parked and/or unoccupied, running with the keys in the ignition. An unknown offender drove up, exited dark colored Lexus or SUV, and entered the victim vehicle and drove away

06 Feb 19- Community Alert- Robbery - Strong Arm Robbery Offender CTA Brown Line NPArea Central Detectives are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the above suspect responsible for a Strong Arm Robbery which occurred on February 4, 2019 at approximately 9:06 p.m. on the CTA Brown line station located at 1536 N. Sedgwick. The victim while standing on the platform was approached by above suspect who forcefully took the victim’s cell phone from her hand, fleeing the area.

This alert gives notice to residents of the 18th District (Near North) of recently reported robberies. In each incident, the offender(s) approaches victims and forcibly grabs cell phones from their hands. The offenders then flee on foot. During two incidents, the offenders fled in a black 4 door sedan vehicle. All of these incidents have occurred in Beat 1834.

This alert gives notice to residents of the 018th District (Near North) and riders of the CTA Red Line of several Aggravated Batteries that occurred in the Chicago Ave Station of the CTA Red Line on the date of December 29th, 2018 at approximately 7:12 p.m. In these attacks, the victims were approached, surrounded and attacked by large groups of teens without provocation.
