04 Oct 18-19th District Community Alert Agg Vehicular Hijacking and Armed Robbery
This alert gives notice to recent Aggravated Vehicular Hijackings and Armed Robberies that have occurred within the boundaries of the 019th District. In these incidents, the offenders approached the victims while they were alone in their stopped vehicle or alone on the street. Offenders then displayed one or multiple handguns and demanded the victim’s vehicle or property. Incident dates and times listed below:
31 Aug 18-Seeking to Identify 19th District Wanted for Arm RobberyOn August 9, 2018 at approximately 1:25 a.m. in the 800 block of West Wrightwood Ave, the unknown above pictured subject committed an act of Arm Robbery with a firearm. As the victims were walking west on Wrightwood the offenders approached from behind, displayed a firearm, and took the victims’ belongings
19 Aug 18 - Community Alert -- Motor Vehicle Thefts - 19th District P18-N-220This alert gives notice of recent motor vehicle thefts that have occurred in the 19th District. In each incident, the offender(s) stole the victims’ vehicles when they were legally parked on the street. A common target for the offender(s) is Honda vehicles either grey or white in color.
17 AUG 18- Community Alert 019th District Thefts of Catalytic Converters P18-N-214This alert gives notice of recent thefts of vehicle catalytic converters that have occurred in the 19th District. In each incident, the unknown offender(s) stole the catalytic converters off of the victim’s vehicle(s). The offender(s) committed these acts while the vehicles were parked on residential streets during overnight hours.
17 AUG 18- Community Alert 019th District Thefts of Vehicle Rims P18-N--213This alert gives notice of recent thefts of vehicle rims and tires that have occurred in the 19th District. In each incident, the unknown offender(s) stole the rims and tires off of the victim’s vehicle(s). The offender(s) committed these acts while the vehicles were parked on residential streets during overnight hours. Honda vehicles are a recurring target.
04 Aug 18 Child Luring 19th District CA JB-378169
On August 03, 2018 at approximately 10:18 p.m., the 13 year old male victim was walking northbound on the 4200 block of North Western Avenue. The unknown offender was sitting in his parked vehicle on the west side of the street facing southbound. The offender motioned with his left hand for the victim to come to the vehicle. The minor victim in fear for his safety ran home. The victim notified his father who called 911. It is unknown in which direction the offender fled.
