This alert gives notice to the residents of the 20th District (Lincoln) of several recent
residential burglaries that have occurred. In these incidents, unknown offender(s) have
entered apartments and residences through doors, by force or unlawful entry. Items taken
include electronics, jewelry, cash, and other miscellaneous items.

Three of the Robberies occurred late in the evening on the sidewalk. The other occurred at the CTA station. The offenders usually approach from different directions and knock down or beat down the victims and remove property from their person.

Three of the Robberies occurred late in the evening on the sidewalk. The other occurred at the CTA station. The offenders usually approach from different directions and knock down or batter the victims and remove property from their person.
During a recent investigation into a string of burglaries committed in the 19th (Town Hall) and 20th (Lincoln) Districts, Chicago Police recovered numerous unclaimed items, all believed to be stolen, including cameras, laptops and jewelry.
On Friday, December 5, 2014, Area North Detectives invited the public to view, identify, and claim their stolen property. However, several items remain unclaimed and Area North detectives continue to seek their rightful owners. Anyone who has been the victim of a burglary in the above mentioned area, and believes that any of these items may be theirs, is encouraged to contact the Bureau of Detectives – Area North Property Crimes at (312) 744-8263.
Chicago Police Detectives are asking for help in identifying burglary victims in the Area of the 19th and 20th Districts. Anyone who has been the victim of a burglary in the area is encouraged to attend and identify stolen items at the Bureau of Detectives-Area North Auditorium (2452 W.
