20th District Tactical Officers observed Pilcher operating a vehicle without seatbelts and curbed the vehicle on the 1100 block of W. Foster on July 22, 2016 at approximately 3:25 pm.. When the officers approached the vehicle they detected a strong odor of cannabis emitting from inside the vehicle. Further investigation revealed Pilcher to be in possession of a handgun with a defaced serial number. Pilcher was placed into custody and charged accordingly. During the investigation it was determined that Pilcher was operating as an Uber driver and the passenger had hired Pilcher via a cell phone application. A name check of Pilcher revealed Pilcher to be a convicted felon. No further information is available at this time.
Wade was arrested after he was identified as the person who had appeared in public and claimed to be a member of the Chicago Police Department. A witness notified police officers with information that Wade was in possession of police equipment and uniform. Aware of that information, officers placed Wade into custody without incident on February 28, 2016 at 10:59pm in the 2700 Block of West Summerdale Ave. He was charged accordingly. No further information is available.
The Chicago Police Department will be conducting a DUI Strike Force Patrol in the Lincoln (20th) District this weekend. The DUI Strike Force Patrol will commence at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 13, 2016 and end at 3:00 a.m. on Sunday, February 14, 2016.
Missing was staying with daughter on 3000 block of E. 79th and got up in the middle of the night and left the residence. Missing resides in Rogers Park on 7300 block of North Ridge. Missing is deaf and in the early stages of dementia. Missing has used the red line trains to go from South to North side. There have been three recent Commercial Robberies in the 17th and 20th Districts. In these cases, two offenders or three offenders entered the business, displayed a blue steel handgun and demanded money from the register. The offenders moved the victims to the rear of the store or into a storage area and took money, alcohol, cigarettes and other property.
Richard Brooks and 2 male juveniles were arrested after they were identified as the males who robbed a 23 year old man. This incident occurred in the 1400 block of W. Argyle on January 17, 2016 at approximately 12:40 a.m. The victim was outside when he was approached by four males. These males punched him, produced a handgun, and announced a robbery. They took the victim’s cell phone before fleeing. A witness was able to notify police as to the location of the offenders. Responding officers placed three males in custody, recovered the victim’s cell phone and recovered a loaded handgun. The male victim sustained non-life threatening injuries and the offenders were charged accordingly. No further information is available at this time.
This alert gives notice to residents of the 017th, 020th and 024th District of eight Robberies that occurred in the late evening to early morning hours of December 2015. The Robberies occurred on the sidewalk, alley and streets. Multiple offenders exited a vehicle and approached the victim and displayed a handgun and demanded property.
