CPD Community Alert: Wanted for Attempt Child Luring 24th District

On April 20, 2016, at approximately 6:35 p.m., two juveniles walked past the 6700 block of North Whipple (Chippewa Park) to retrieve a dodge ball that was between fences. An unknown female in the passenger seat of a black SUV type vehicle rolled down her window and said “hi kids, come over here, I have some candy”. This alarmed the juveniles who walked away quickly. The unknown woman was in the company of a young man who was the driver. After retrieving there ball, the juveniles returned past the 6700 block of North Whipple and upon seeing the vehicle and its occupants still parked, ran fast past said location to their residence and alerted the parents.

CPD News Release: DUI STRIKE FORCE PATROL- ROGERS PARK (24TH) DISTRICT

The Chicago Police Department will be conducting a DUI Strike Force Patrol in the Rogers Park (24th) District this weekend. The DUI Strike Force Patrol will commence at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 16, 2016 and end at 3:00 a.m. on Sunday, April 17, 2016.
CPD News Release – Fourth Man Charged with Rogers Park Murder

Armani Bearden was arrested in connection with the murder of a 64 year old man. This incident occurred on the 6500 block of N. Hoyne Avenue on December 10, 2015 at approximately 5:30 p.m. Three others have previously been charged – Shatrata Lehmann, Alexander Robinson and a male juvenile. Bearden was charged accordingly.
CPD COMMUNITY ALERT- Robberies 19th and 24th Districts
Robberies have occurred in 019th and 024th Districts in which the offenders robbed victims at gunpoint. In one incident the offenders drove away in the victim’s car.

Preliminary Statement on Police Involved Shooting – No Hits 6400 block of N. Claremont

Rogers Park (024th) District Officers were on patrol when multiple shots were fired by an unknown offender(s). An officer, perceiving that they were being fired upon, discharged his weapon. The offender(s) fled the scene in a vehicle and is not in custody at this time. Efforts are underway to locate the offending vehicle and offender(s). It is unknown if any offender(s) sustained injuries from this incident. No injuries to officers have been reported.
CPD Business Alert Commercial Burglaries 24th District (Rogers Park)

CommercialBurglaruies24thdistrictP16-N-026BA[1]Commercial burglaries have occurred in the 024th District where an unknown offender pried open the rear door to access the business. In one incident the offender then kicked in an interior door and cut through drywall to access the first floor. The security video captured the offender’s movement throughout the store. The offender(s) took a guitar, laptop computer, misc. tools, U.S.C., watches and a ring. Incident times and locations are listed below:
Missing Elderly Person
Missing was staying with daughter on 3000 block of E. 79th and got up in the middle of the night and left the residence. Missing resides in Rogers Park on 7300 block of North Ridge. Missing is deaf and in the early stages of dementia. Missing has used the red line trains to go from South to North side. Missing believed to be wearing a black coat, black hooded jacket, black leggings and black boots. Any information should be directed to the Special Victim’s Unit @ (312)744 8266

Recent Armed Robberies have occurred on the public way in the 024th District during which one offender, who is armed with a black handgun, approaches the victim from behind and points the gun at the victim’s head while demanding that the victims give him everything they have.
