01 Aug 18 - Community Alert - Aggravated Vehicular Hijacking P15-N-197(CA) - 25th District - NPThis alert gives notice to residents in the 25th District of recent vehicular hijacking incidents. In these incidents, the offenders approached the victims and ordered these victims out of their vehicles at gunpoint. The offenders then fled the scene with the victims’ vehicles.

On July 15, 2018 at about 10:00 p.m., a 64 year old male pedestrian was crossing the street near 5239 W. Fullerton Avenue. He was fatally struck by a speeding eastbound driver. The Ford Edge is white in color, and may have tinted windows surrounding. It fled east on Fullerton Avenue then north on Laramie Avenue. The driver’s side mirror housing was knocked off and the front driver’s side of this vehicle is likely to show damage from the crash. The Chicago Police Department needs the help of the community to solve this Hit and Run.
