This alert gives notice to residents of Beat 2515 in District 025 of recent burglaries to garages that are occurring in the overnight hours. The offender uses a pry tool force to enter the garage via the side door or breaks the side window to gain entry to steal various items.
CPD Community Alert – Wanted for Leaving the Scene of a Fatal Traffic Crash 25th District
12 Jul 21 -Fatal Traffic Crash MAIU Comunity Alert
On Saturday, July 3rd, 2021 at about 1:12 a.m., a motorcyclist was involved in a fatal traffic crash with silver or grey in color Subaru hatchback in the intersection of Long Avenue and West Belmont Avenue. The motorcyclist suffered fatal injuries. The vehicle failed to stop at the scene to render aid and exchange information. Per witnesses and evidence on the scene, the striking vehicle is silver or grey in color 2005-2009 Subaru hatchback. The striking vehicle continued to travel southbound on Long Avenue with damage expected on the right front area of the vehicle. This may include a missing passenger side view mirror along with the housing for the mirror and damage to the passenger side front door. The Chicago Police Department needs the help of the community to solve this Hit and Run. This is the actual vehicle.
