WHAT: The Chicago Police Department, in collaboration with Centers for New Horizons, is hosting a Gun Turn-In Event. During this event, community members will receive a $100 gift card in exchange for every gun turned in and a $10 gift card for each BB-gun, air-gun, or replica firearm – No questions asked!

Sherry L. Robinson, 50, was arrested and charged in connection to a domestic related murder that occurred at approx. 12:30 am, May 9th, 2016 on the 4500 block of South Drexel Blvd.
This alert gives notice to citizens residing in the 002nd District (Wentworth) of burglary incidents which have occurred during the month of April. In these incidents, offender(s) gain entry into a residence and take property from therein. In one instance, a victim investigating noises by his rear door was sprayed with an unknown, white cloudy substance.

This alert gives notice to citizens in the 002nd District (Wentworth) of robbery related incidents that have occurred during the month of April. In these incidents, the offender approached victims and asked to use their cell phones. When the victim refused, they were attacked and the phone was physically taken.

The Chicago Police Department will conduct a Roadside Safety Check in the Wentworth (2nd) District at Garfield Blvd. & Perry Ave. The Roadside Safety Check will commence at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, April 15, 2016 and end at 3:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 16, 2016.

This alert gives notice to citizens in the 002rd District (Wentworth) of robbery related incidents have occurred during the month of March. In these incidents, three offenders approached victims and demanded/forcibly removed personal property before fleeing area. In one instance, an offender exposed his waistband to reveal a handgun.

The Chicago Police Department will be conducting a DUI Strike Force Patrol along the Dan Ryan Expressway (6300 South to 9500 South). The DUI Strike Force Patrol will commence at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 12th, 2016 and end at 3:00 a.m. on Sunday, March 13th, 2016.
