This alert gives notice to citizens residing in the 2nd (Central) District of robbery related incidents during the month of April. Citizens riding bikes on the bike path at 4700 S Lake Shore Drive have been pulled off their bikes and robbed of their belonging by male black offenders. No weapons have been used. These incidents have occurred during the evening hours in the general geographical locations listed below:

A male black offender 5’07-5’09 135lbs wearing a black hooded sweatshirt dark jean and a red bandana over his face presented a knife and robbed victims cutting both of them during a struggle. These incidents have occurred during the daytime hours in the general geographical locations listed below:

CPD Community Alert – Seeking Information Strong Arm Robbery Offender CTA Pink line (Ashland Ave)

Area Central Detectives are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the above suspect responsible for two Strong Arm Robberies which occurred on January 17, 2019 at approximately 4:10 p.m. and on January 29, 2019 at approximately 1:30 pm on the CTA Pink line train located at 1601 S. Lake St. The victim’s while seated on the train were approached by above suspect who took the victims’ cell phones, then fled the train.

In each incident, the offender(s) made entry into the victim’s apartments either via the front or rear door. Property, predominantly in the form of televisions, computers, and jewelry was taken.
