26 Mar 19 - Business Alert Armed Robbery - 5th and 22nd District
This alert gives notice to businesses in the Calumet (005^th) & Morgan Park (22^nd) Districts, of recent armed robberies which occurred on beats 511, 524, & 2232. In these incidents, one male offender entered small retail stores or fast food restaurants, displayed a handgun and demanded money from the register.

17 Jan 19 - Business Alert - Retail Thefts 5th & 6th District - #P19-2-003BA
This alert gives notice to citizens of the 005^th District (Pullman) and 006^th District (Gresham) of an increase in reported thefts and attempted thefts at the Walmart establishments. In each incident, the offender(s) enter the establishments proceeding to remove or attempting to remove several Roomba Vacuum cleaners from the store shelf. Further information regarding the dates, times, and locations of these incidents is listed below

On January 9, 2019 at approximately 4:10 p.m. in the 9200 block of South Saginaw Avenue as part of a narcotics investigation, Omar Cano, 41, was found in possession of three bags of a green, leafy substance suspected of being cannabis weighing approximately 1,500 grams with an estimated street value of $24,000.

A search warrant of Cano’s residence uncovered an additional 46,658 grams of suspected cannabis with an estimated street value $746,528. Cano was taken into custody and charged accordingly. No further information is available at this time.

This alert gives notice to an attempt child abduction that occurred in the 005^th District (West Pullman) at address of 11853 S Morgan Ave. at approximately 09:30am-09:50am on 20-DEC-2018. Offender in a dark grey colored sedan attempted to physically pull victim into his vehicle. Victim escaped and Offender fled scene in above mentioned dark grey vehicle. Victim stated that she has seen offender and offender’s vehicle in the area previously.

This alert gives notice to residents of the Calumet (5^th) District of recent garage burglaries that have occurred in the Roseland neighborhood on beat 512. In these incidents, offenders have forcibly entered residential garages taking tools, lawn equipment, and bicycles. The offenders make entry through the side entry door. Incidents occur during daytime hours when residents are at work.

02-Dec-18 Community Alert Robbery Theft 5th District (Calumet) P18-2-104 NP

This alert gives notice to the residents and restaurant business owners in the 5^th District of recent robberies/thefts of food delivery drivers that have occurred particularly on Beat 533. In these incidents, the unknown offender(s) called for food delivery and when the delivery person arrived, one to three offenders snatched the victim’s cell phone and money and fled or battered the victim and took his property.
