Edwards was arrested on May 14, 2016 by the Danville Police Department after a traffic stop revealed the offender had an active murder warrant originating in Chicago. Kevin Edwards, Dwight Boone-Doty, and Corey Morgan are charged with luring nine year old Tyshawn Lee into an alley and executing him in the 8000 Block of South Damen on November 2, 2016. With all three offenders facing felony charges, the case is now closed. No further information is available at this time. For More Information Click Here

Pierre Stokes was arrested after he was identified as the person who fired a

weapon multiple times striking three victims. This incident occurred on March

8, 2016 at approximately 5:40 p.m. in the 7900 block of South Ashland

Avenue. Officers arrived to the location after a call of battery in progress and

during their investigation found a Male, 31 with a gunshot wound to the Left

Forearm and a Male, 30 with a gunshot wound to the Right Arm both taken to

Christ were they were treated and released. A Female, 29 also suffered a

graze wound to the face and refused medical assistance. Stokes was taken

into custody on March 11, 2016 and has been charged accordingly. No

further information is available at this time.

This alert gives notice to businesses in the 006th District of several armed robbery incidents that have occurred in the Gresham neighborhood. In two of the incidents, the described offender entered the business and allowed other customers to go ahead of him so that he was the last one in line and the only one in the business. The suspect in both incidents made a purchase then announced a robbery while pointing a hand gun at the clerk. The images included are from the robbery that occurred on Jan. 19th, 2016 on the 300 block of East 87th St.

The Chicago Police Department will be conducting a DUI Strike Force Patrol in the Austin (15th) District this weekend. The DUI Strike Force Patrol will commence at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 12, 2015 and end at 3:00 a.m. on Sunday, December 13, 2015. Additionally, the a Roadside Safety Check will be conducted in the (6th) District at 7500 S.
Ashland. The Roadside Safety Check will commence at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, December 11, 2015 and end at 3:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 12, 2015.

The purpose of this program is to saturate a pre-designated area with roving police officers that continually monitor vehicular traffic for signs of impaired driving. Patrols also place emphasis on speed, alcohol-related and safety belt violations. Police vehicles equipped for speed detection are deployed to apprehend speeding violators. In addition, the Breath Alcohol Testing (BAT) Mobile Unit may also be deployed to allow officers to expedite the process of charging a person with Driving under the Influence (DUI) prior to transporting an alleged into the nearest lockup for bonding. The mobile unit also allows for Individual Recognizance Bonds (I-Bonds) to be issued at the site of the DUI Strike Force Patrol.
