12 MAR 18- Community Alert 009th District (P1-1-075CA) burglary
This alert gives notice to citizens residing in the 009th District (Deering) of burglary related incidents which have occurred during the month of March. In these incidents, unknown offender(s) gained entry by force into residences/garages and took property from therein. These incidents have occurred at various hours of the day in the general geographical locations listed below:
05 MAR 18- Community Alert 009th Distrcit (P18-1-062CA)
This alert gives notice to residents in the 009th District (Deering) of recent armed robbery related incidents which have occurred during the month of February/March. In these incidents, the unknown offender(s) approached the victims and demanded their property.
25 Feb 2018 - Police Involved Shooting - 4200 Block of South Ashland
On Sunday, February 25, 2018 shortly before 8:00 PM, Area South Gang Team
Officers were conducting a narcotics investigation. The investigation led to a vehicle traffic
stop in the 4200 Block of South Ashland at which point the officers directed the occupants to
exit the vehicle. While exiting the vehicle, an adult male occupant pushed an officer and then
fled on foot in the direction of multiple parked tractor trailers. A brief foot chase ensued
leading to an encounter in which an officer discharged their weapon, striking the offender. The
male victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment of his wounds and is in serious
but stable condition.
21 FEB 18- Community Alert 009Th District Burglaries P18-1-057CA
This alert gives notice to citizens residing in the 009th District (Deering) of burglary related incidents which have occurred during the month of February. In these incidents, unknown offender(s) gained entry by force or unlawfully entered into residences/garages and took property from within. These incidents have occurred at various hours of the day in the general geographical locations listed below:
20 FEB 18-Community Alert-9th District Wanted for Home Invasion and Criminal Sexual Assault
This alert gives notice to residents of the 009th District (Deering) of a Criminal Sexual
Assault incident that occurred on the 2600 block of W. Pershing Ave, on February 20,
2018, at approximately 1:18 p.m. A female adult was sleeping in her bedroom
apartment, at which time an unknown offender made a forced entry through a window.
The offender then took property from the apartment and forced the victim to perform
oral sex on him.
This alert gives notice to numerous Motor Vehicle Thefts that have occurred within the area of the 009th District (Deering) in the month of January. In most of these Motor Vehicle Thefts, the keys to the vehicle were left in the vehicle, and the 28 Jan 18- 9th District Community Alert-Motor Vehicle Thefts
unknown offender(s) take the vehicle.
