About the Crime:

This alert gives notice to citizens in the 9th District (Deering) and 12th District (Near West) of robbery incidents which have occurred during the month of October. In these incidents, the offenders approach the victims and demand their property.

Incident times and locations are listed below:

1000 Block of West Fulton Market on October 15, 2017 at 9:00AM

2600 Block of South Halsted Street October 15, 2017 at 9:15AM.

About the Offenders:

#1 – Male black offender, 18-25 years old, 5’11-6’01, 160-170lbs., Black hair, last

seen wearing a red hooded sweatshirt and black pants.

#2 – Male black offender, 18-20 years old, last seen wearing a pink hoodie.

What you can do:

  • Always be aware of your surroundings
  • Report suspicious activity immediately
  • If you are confronted by an assailant remain calm
  •  Remember any unique physical characteristics (scars, limp, acne, teeth, etc…)
  • Never pursue a fleeing assailant, provide the information to the police
  • If video surveillance equipment is present, please save a copy of the incident for investigating detectives
  • If approached by a witness to the incident, request contact information
  • Dial 9-1-1 immediately and remain on scene when possible
