The Chicago Police Department will conduct a Roadside Safety Check in the South Chicago (4th) District at Brainard and Baltimore Ave. The Roadside Safety Check will commence at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, May 29th, 2015 and end at 3:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 30th, 2015.
Chicago Lawn Man Charged with Additional Robberies
Jaleel Johnson,19 appeared on court on May 19, 2015 and charged in a robbery of a 21 year old female. The continued investigation by Detectives in Area Central resulted in Johnson being identified in 5 other incidents. These incidents occurred in the 012th and 018th Districts with dates ranging from 07 March 2015 to 16 May 2015. No further information is available at this time.

Kenwood Man Charged in Park Manor Murder
Romell Outlaw was arrested in connection to a murder that occurred on the on April 2nd, 2015. Outlaw was charged after being identified as the offender who fatally shot a 37 year old man as he stood on the 100 block of East 69th Street at approx. 8:25 pm in the evening.
Bridgeport Man Charged with Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault
Stephen Slezak was arrested after he was identified as the man who sexually assaulted an 11 year old female and a 16 year old female on separate occasions.

This alert gives notice to residents of the 12th District (Near West) of burglary related incidents that have occurred during the month of May. In these incidents, an unknown offender enters the residence by force or by way of open doors and removes property from within. See incident locations listed below:

This alert gives notice to citizens in the 012th District of robbery related incidents that have occurred on Beat 1223 during the month of May. In these incidents, the offenders approach the victims and produce a small pointed object then rob them of personal items. Incident times and locations are listed below:

South Side Man Charged in Domestic-Related Homicide
Charges for Wojciech Sadelski Saldeski was arrested and charged after he fatally stabbed and bludgeoned his 54 year-old mother during a domestic-related altercation inside a residence on May 20, 2015, at approximately 8:10 pm on the 4800 block of S. Karlov Ave. Sadelski then struck his 30 year-old brother with a hammer and attempted to strike him with a vehicle, before crashing into a garage. The brother was transported to Christ and is listed in serious condition with lacerations to the head. The offender was charged accordingly. There is no further information available.
Chicago Lawn Man Charged in Lake View Robbery
Officers responded to a “holding citizen” call in the 3100 block of N Southport on May 18, 2015 at approximately 10:00 p.m. Jaleel Johnson was observed following a 21 year old female into the vestibule of her building. Upon entry, he grabbed her, pushed her to the ground, and took her purse before fleeing. Three male adult witnesses pursued Johnson and caught him a short distance away. They detained him until police arrived. Johnson was identified by the victim as the offender and charged accordingly. The victim refused medical attention and her purse and the contents within were recovered. No further information available at this time.
West Side Man and Two Juveniles Charged in Vehicular Hijacking
Brown and the two juvenile offenders were placed in custody after being identified in connection to a vehicular hijacking that occurred on the 1800 block of N. Clybourn Ave. on May 13, 2015, at approximately 11:10 p.m. The offenders approached a male victim as he entered his vehicle and demanded he get out while implying a weapon. The offenders then fled in the vehicle, at which time responding officers observed the stolen vehicle and a traffic pursuit ensued to the 1900 block of W.
