Chicago Police narcotics officers were able to intercept a shipment of narcotics that was being shipped into Chicago. From that delivery location, officers recovered a large quantity of narcotics, firearms, and over $95,000 in cash.

Narcotics Division officers conducted an investigation of a suspicious package that was received at a local shipping facility. A search warrant was executed on that package and it was found it to contain 614 grams of cannabis. The Package Team conducted a controlled delivery of that package to a recipient in the 2200 block of S. Kildare Ave.

On March 19th, 2015 at approximately 4:50 p.m., officers executed a delivery warrant on that same address. Inside the location, officers recovered two assault rifles with 100 round magazines, three additional assault rifles with 30 round magazines, one loaded 10mm auto pistol, one loaded 9mm auto pistol, one revolver, and a high power bolt action rifle with a scope. A large quantity of ammunition and two bullet proof vests were also discovered.

Also inside this residence was a large cache of narcotics that included 5,052 grams of powder cocaine, 557 grams of crack cocaine, 6,713 grams of tan heroin, 997 grams of black tar heroin and 726 grams of cannabis. The estimated street value of these narcotics total approximately $1,532,477.00. In addition, approximately $95,608.00 in cash was recovered.

Arrested during this incident was a 24 year old female – Lauren Henry, from the 2200 block of S. Kildare Ave.

About the Crime:

On March 13th, 2015, at approximately 3:00 am in the 5400 block of South Hyde Park Blvd, the above subject, Ross Jacobs attacked and stabbed his 27 year old male roommate multiple times, causing severe injuries. Ross Jacobs then fled from the apartment, direction of flight unknown.

Please note the offender is NOT a student at the University of Chicago.

Mathew Price was arrested after he was identified as the driver who struck and killed a 22-year-old female pedestrian. The traffic crash occurred in the 5900 block of S. Halsted St. on March 12, 2015 at approximately 1:45 p.m. Price did not stop after he struck the victim and was apprehended a short time later at 5300 S. Union. Price was charged accordingly.

Lawrence Longstreet, 19,  was arrested after he was identified as the man who shot a 16 year old boy in the 6200 block of S. Cottage Grove on February 16, 2015 at approximately 1:15 p.m. The victim was taken in serious condition to the University of Chicago with a gunshot wound to the back. No further information is available at this time.

David Ochoa, 20, was arrested after he was identified as the man who shot two females on January 23, 2015, at approximately 10:20 p.m., in the 4400 block of S. Marshfield. A 21 year old female was taken to Stroger Hospital in serious condition with a gunshot wound to the leg. The second victim, a female 20, had a graze wound to the hand and buttocks and refused treatment on the scene. Ochoa was charged accordingly. No further information is available at this time.

On March 6, 2015, at 05:06 A.M., a motorist was seriously injured, while travelling south on Wentworth Avenue at 47th Street, when she was struck by a Silver Blue Semi-Truck with No Trailer Attached at the intersection of 47th and Wentworth Ave. The wanted vehicle was traveling west on 47th Street just prior to the hit/run incident and then continued north on Wentworth Ave, going the wrong direction on a one way street before turning off onto Swann Street heading west.
