This alert gives notice to the residents of the 16th District (Jefferson Park) of several residential burglaries that have occurred. In these incidents, unknown offender(s) have entered apartments and residences, through front and rear doors, where some were left unlocked. 31 Oct 18 - Garage Burglaries 14th District Community Alert P18-N-279
This alert gives notice to citizens in the 014th District of two burglaries that have occurred recently.  In both cases, the unknown offender pried open the residential garage door, entered the garage and stole miscellaneous tools from within.  Both burglaries occurred in the overnight hours and may have been committed at the same time and by the same offender.

31 Oct 18 14th District Burglaries Community Alert
This alert gives notice to citizens in the 014th District of several burglaries that have occurred recently.  In each case, the unknown offender pries open the door, enters the residence and steals property from within.  The burglaries usually occur during the daytime hours when the victim is at work.  In some cases, the residence is under construction and the burglaries occurred overnight when the construction workers were not present.

31 Oct 18 - Community Alert - Residential Burglaries 19th District (Town Hall) P18-N-277CA --NP

This alert gives notice to residents in the 19th District (Town Hall) of burglary incidents that have occurred during the month of October. In these incidents, the offender(s) entered the victims’ residences in one of two ways; either by an unlocked window/door or by taking the garage remote from an unlocked vehicle and entering through the attached garage.  Once inside, the offender(s) took various items from the victims’ home or vehicles.  In some instances the victims were at home asleep or otherwise preoccupied while the offense took place.

This alert gives notice to residents in the 19th District (Town Hall) of burglary incidents that have occurred during the month of October. In these incidents, the offender(s) entered the victims’ residences through an unlocked door or through a window after cutting the window screen.  Once inside, the offender(s) took various items from the victims’ home.

29 OCT 18 - Community Alert- Residential Burglaries 16th District (Jefferson Park) -NP

This alert gives notice to residents in the 16th District (Jefferson Park) of several residential burglaries that have occurred in the month of October. These incidents have taken place on Beat 1634, within the boundaries of Belmont Ave. to Irving Park Rd. and Cicero Ave to Long Ave. In these incidents, the unknown offender(s) gained entry by forcibly kicking or prying open the front, rear or side doors. The offender(s) also gained entry through windows. The offender(s) then took the victims’ property.

28 Oct 18-Business Alert -Aggravated Robbery 14th District (Shakespeare)- NP

This alert gives notice to businesses in the 14th District (Shakespeare) of aggravated robbery incidents which have occurred during the month of October. An unknown offender entered the businesses and looked at the merchandise displayed for sale. On one incident, the clerk challenges the offender since he recognized the offender from a previous shoplifting incident.  In another incident the offender demanded cash from the cash register.  In both incidents, the offender implied that he had a gun but did not display the weapon.  The offender took unknown amount of US currency and merchandise.

27 OCT 18- Armed Robberies 15th District (Austin) 18-N-272(CA)- NP

This alert gives notice to residents in the 15th District (Austin) of three recent armed robberies which have occurred during the month of October. The offenders are described to be displaying a shotgun or rifle. In one incident, the victim was approached by two offenders on foot as the victim was walking in the 5400 block of West Gladys Ave. One offender produced a long gun, possibly a shotgun, and took property from the victim. In two additional incidents, the victims responded to posts for items for sale on a website called Offer Up. The victims agreed to meet with the seller in the 5300 block of West Gladys Ave. Upon the victims’ arrival, multiple offenders approached on foot. One offender displayed a long gun as the victims’ property was taken by co-offenders before fleeing on foot with the victims’ property.

25 OCT 18 - Broadview Man Charged with Home Invasion 1300 Block of North Bell
 
Johnson was taken into custody on October 25th 2018 at approximately 9:45 a.m. in the 2500 Block of South 14th St. in Broadview, IL  after he was identified as the offender who, while armed with a knife, forced his way into a home in the 1300 Block of North Bell on May 28th 2018 at approximately 12:54 a.m. and stabbed a 24 year-old-female victim in the leg. The victim was transported to St Mary’s Hospital in stable condition. No further information at this time.
