CPD Community Alert: Wanted for Criminal Sexual Abuse 16th District
On July 05, 2016 on the 5300 block of N. Elston at approximately 10:00 p.m, a 43 year old woman was walking to her vehicle when the offender and attempted to engage her in conversation. As the victim got into her vehicle the offender reached in and touched the victim’s chest and genital area over her clothing. The victim managed to push the offender away at which time he fled.
On July 12, 2016 on the 5200 block of N. Laramie at approximately 3:20 PM, a 35 year old woman was walking when the offender approached and engaged her in conversation. The offender then struck the victim’s buttock with his hand and then exposed his genitalia. The offender then fled northbound on Laramie.
On July 14, 2016 on the 6100 block of W. Waveland at approximately 3:30 PM, a 17 year old woman was walking when the offender ran up from behind and touched her buttocks and chest. The offender then fled eastbound on Waveland.

This alert is being issued to warn citizens of the 019th District of Criminal Damage to Vehicle incidents that have occurred on Beat 1911. During these incidents an unknown offender fired shots from an unknown firearm which caused broken windows and damage to parked vehicles.

About This Crime
On July 11, 2016, at approximately 8:55 a.m., a 12-year-old female victim was walking northbound on the 500 block on N. Monticello Ave. when she noticed that an unknown male white, driving a silver minivan was following her.
CPD ADVISORY- CPD Displays Stolen Items Eligible for Recovery
CHICAGO – The Chicago Police Department’s Asset Forfeiture Unit conducted a search warrant on June 30, 2016 in the 5600 block of West Augusta Blvd. The target of the search warrant admitted to selling stolen items for the past ten years.
Jerome Brown, 53, of the 5600 block of West Augusta Blvd., was charged with one count of felony theft/stolen/ > $500 < 10,000. The Asset Forfeiture Unit was provided with information that the offender had been selling stolen items out of his home. The unit utilized undercover officers to corroborate these facts in order to obtain a search warrant.
It was discovered that the offender had established a large-scale trafficking operation from the home. The types of items recovered include (but are not limited to) bicycles, snow blowers, landscaping equipment, chainsaws, ladders, construction grade equipment, power tools, and tool boxes.
Victims who have had property stolen are invited to view the recovered items in the 015th District Police Station Community Room, located at 5701 W. Madison Ave. Viewing will be available on Friday July 15th from 7:00am to 7:00pm as well as Saturday July 16th from 8:00am to 3:00pm.
It appears that the items originated in the Cook County area. Victims attending the viewing should bring identification, proof of purchase, copy of police report, as well as any evidence related to their loss (i.e. video, pictures, or witnesses). Detectives will be in attendance to assist victims with recovering their property.
