This alert gives notice to citizens of the 18th District (Near North) of Robbery related incidents during the month of October. In these incidents, one or more offender(s) approach a victim on the street and demand/forcibly remove personal property.
Community Alert – Wanted for Leaving the Scene of a Fatal Traffic Crash – 024th District (Rogers Park)
On Sunday, October 4, 2015, at approximately 6:52 p.m., a 63-year-old female was struck by a vehicle while crossing the street in the 2300 block of West Howard St. (intersection of Western Avenue and Howard Street). As a result of the crash, the victim sustained fatal injuries. The driver of the striking vehicle fled the scene of the crash without identifying themselves or rendering aid to the victim.
Three West Side Men Charged in Shooting
Terris Williams, David Stuart, and Johnny Richardson were taken into custody in connection to a shooting that occurred in the 3000 block of W. Lexington on September 27, 2015, at approximately 9:40 pm. Two male victims were standing outside when the offenders fired shots from a vehicle striking both victims. Officers in the area then observed the offending vehicle fleeing the scene and a traffic pursuit ensued. The offenders were subsequently taken into custody and charged accordingly. Several weapons, including a rifle, were recovered on the scene. The first victim, an 18-year-old male, was transported to Mt. Sinai Hospital in stable condition after he sustained a gunshot wound to the chest. The second victim, a 23-year-old man, refused medical attention on the scene with a graze wound to the wrist. There is no further information available.
Bridgeport Man Charged with Sexual Abuse on CTA Property
Xavier Rodriguez was arrested after he was identified as the man who sexually abused a 22 year old female on CTA property. This incident occurred on September 25, 2015, at 3:40 a.m. in the 900 block of W. Fullerton Ave. Rodriguez grabbed the 22 year old female from behind and sexually abused her. Rodriguez fled the scene when the victim screamed for help. The victim refused medical attention and Rodriguez was charged accordingly. No further details are available at this time.
Community Alert – Residential Burglaries – 016th District (Jefferson Park)
This alert gives notice to the residents of the 16th District (Jefferson Park) of several residential and apartment burglaries that have occurred in the month of September. In these incidents, unknown offender(s) have entered apartments and residences through windows or doors and have taken electronics, jewelry, cash and other miscellaneous items.
Business Alert – Armed Robberies/Taxi Cab drivers – 011th District (Harrison)
Armed Robberies of Taxi Cab drivers have occurred in the 011th District. In these instances an offender entered the Taxi and displayed a handgun demanding cash and personal property from the driver.

Community Alert – Wanted for Armed Robbery – 025th District (Grand/Central)
Three recent Armed Robbery incidents have occurred in the 25th District. In these cases, a victim is approached from behind by 2 or 3 offenders. One offender displays a dark colored handgun, while the other offender(s) takes property from the victim. In one case, there were 2 males and a female offender who fled the scene in a small 4 door white sedan. The offenders take cell phones, wallets, and USC.
Business Alert – Robbery–Aggravated – 019th and 020th Districts
Bank Robberies have recently occurred in the 19th and 20th Districts. In these incidents a female offender robbed a bank located inside a grocery store. The offender presented a demand note and stated that she had a lookout. As of the latest bank robbery no weapon had been displayed.
Gurnee Man Charged in Albany Park Shooting
Phakthra Savath was arrested after he was identified as the person who shot a 21 year old man in the 4400 block of N. Kedzie Ave., on July 20, 2015 at approximately 1:10 a.m. The 21 year old man sustained gunshot wounds to the right thigh and left ankle. He was taken for treatment to Christ Hospital in fair condition. Savath was arrested and charged accordingly. No further information is available at this time.
