About the Crime:
This alert gives notice to citizens residing in the 015th District (North) of robberies that have occurred during the month of March. In these incidents, an unknown offender approaches victim, points a revolver at them and demands their property.
Offender also takes their jackets and pants and has them lie on the ground before fleeing.
Joseph Benson, 23, was arrested and charged after an incident which occurred on March 7, 2015 at approximately 2:00 a.m. on the 2600 block of N. Mildred Avenue. Police responded to a disturbance and arrived to discover the offender had forced his way into a residence and attacked a 41-year-old male victim while purporting to be a police officer. Benson was placed into custody and charged accordingly.
The Chicago Police Department will be conducting a DUI Strike Force Patrol in the 2nd (Wentworth) District. The DUI Strike Force Patrol will commence at 7 p.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2015 and end at 3 a.m. on Sunday, March 08, 2015.
About the Crime:
This alert gives notice to the residents of the 25th District (Grand Central) of several recent residential burglaries that have occurred. In these incidents, unknown offender(s) have entered apartments and residences, through windows or doors, and have taken electronics, jewelry, cash, and other miscellaneous items.
This alert gives notice to the residents of the 11th District (Harrison) of two Armed Robbery-Related incidents that have occurred in the month of February. In both incidents, the three unknown offenders displayed a handgun and demanded money and property from the victims. In one incident, the offenders took the victim’s wallet.
The Chicago Police Department will be conducting a DUI Strike Force Patrol in the 24th (Rogers Park) District. The DUI Strike Force Patrol will commence at 7 p.m. on Saturday, February 28, 2015 and end at 3 a.m. on Sunday, March 1, 2015.

This alert gives notice to citizens residing in the 011th District (Area North) of an increase in robbery related incidents that have occurred during the month’s of January and February. In these incidents, offender’s utilized a black /dark van and took by force and the threat of force by displaying a handgun, and taking cell phones, USC and personal property i.e. purse containing identification and credit cards from citizens on the street.
There have been three recent Commercial Robberies in the 16th and 25th District. In these cases, a male white Hispanic offender enters the business, displays a Chrome/Silver handgun and demands money from the register.
The Chicago Police Department will be conducting a DUI Strike Force Patrol in the 11th (Harrison) District. The DUI Strike Force Patrol will commence at 7 p.m. on Saturday, February 14, 2015 and end at 3 a.m. on Sunday, February 15, 2015

This alert gives notice to businesses in the 014th district (Shakespeare) of Robbery related incidents which have occurred during the month of January. In these incidents, one or two male blacks enter small retail businesses wearing black skull caps, black joggers or pants display a blue or black steel handgun and demand property.
