An offender was arrested in connection to the death of a 13-month-old child on July 11, 2015. Officers observed Watkins in a vehicle fitting the description of a wanted offender’s vehicle from a fatal shooting that occurred on the 7700 block of S. Kingston Ave. at approx. 1:45 pm on the above date. Watkins then fled in the vehicle and struck a 13-month-old male, who was in a stroller on the sidewalk, in the 6300 block of S. Joshua Ford was arrested in connection to a murder that occurred September 21st, 2014 on the 7700 block of South Stewart Ave at approx. 2:40 am.
Davis was arrested and charged after he was identified as the offender who, on July 2nd, 2015 at approximately 5:25 pm, drove a vehicle across a sports field located on the 1800 block of E. 76th Street, striking a 10 year old male juvenile in the process.
Two male juveniles have been arrested and charged with the shooting of 2 men on June 12, 2015. This incident occurred on the 13200 block of S. Vernon at approximately 10:30 p.m. Both male victims, ages 61 and 21, were inside of a residence when shots were fired from a passing vehicle. The victims both sustained gunshot wounds to the legs and both were taken to Christ Hospital in fair condition. Officers were able to arrest the offenders a short distance away. The juveniles were charged accordingly as adults. No further information is available at this time.
The Chicago Police Department’s Animal Crimes Team, executed a dog fighting related search warrant on Juan Zamora’s residence on June 4, 2015 at approximately 11:45 a.m. Officers recovered 10 pit bull dogs that were living in deplorable conditions. The animals were turned over to Animal Care and Control for treatment. Zamora, 49 was not on scene during the search warrant and turned himself in to CPD on June 8, 2015. Zamora was charged accordingly.
Rashaad Jackson was arrested in connection to a fatal hit and run traffic crash that occurred on the 6400 block of South Ashland Ave at approx. 9:30 pm on June 2nd, 2015.
Cordarius Lawrence, Darryl Wilson, and Joshua Martin were arrested after they were identified as the men responsible for the murder of a 29 year old man on February 6, 2014. The incident
occurred on the 8100 block of South Marshfield Ave. at approximately 2:15 a.m. Officers responded to a call of shots fired and found the male victim unresponsive on the sidewalk with a gunshot wound to the chest. He was transported to Christ Hospital where he was later pronounced.
On December 23, 2014 at 3:13 p.m., at the Eberhart Food Store located at 457 E. 79th Street, the above pictured homicide offender entered the food store, displayed a firearm, and shot and killed a 23 year old male victim.
About The Offender
Homicide offender was described as a male black, approximately 23 years of age, approximately 5’10” tall, approximately 190 lbs, medium brown complexion, short black hair and facial hair.
The Chicago Police Department will conduct a Roadside Safety Check in the South Chicago (4th) District at Brainard and Baltimore Ave. The Roadside Safety Check will commence at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, May 29th, 2015 and end at 3:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 30th, 2015.
Martin was arrested in connection to a murder that occurred on October 3rd, 2014 on the 10600 block of South Yates Ave at approx. 9:10 pm.
