This alert gives notice to businesses of the 018th District concerning recently reported burglary related incidents on Beats 1812, 1831, and 1832. In each incident, the offenders force entry into construction sites and remove power tools and construction materials.

About the Crime:
There have been recent Commercial Burglaries in the 17th District. In these cases,
the unknown offender(s) used a cement block or concrete to break the glass door of
the business. The offender(s) then entered the business and took property and
money.
Incident times and locations:
• 3200 Block of West Lawrence Avenue on October 10, 2017 at 10:00 pm.
• 3300 Block of North Elston Avenue on October 17, 2017 at 5:15 am.
• 3300 Block of West Lawrence Avenue on October 17, 2017 at 11:55 pm.
About the Offenders:
• Male White Hispanic, 20-30 years-old, hooded sweatshirt
• Male White Hispanic, 22-28 years-old, hooded sweatshirt
• Male black, 25-45 years-old 5’08-6’02, 200-250 pounds
What you can do:
• Be aware of this crime and alert other Businesses.
• Business owners should ensure that their business equipped with a working
video surveillance system and Burglar alarm.
• Call 911 immediately and provide a detailed description of the offender(s)
including any vehicle description and license plate information as well as
direction of flight, if known.
