In these incidents, the offender(s) forces entry to a commercial establishment and/or restaurant and removes property from within. These incidents have occurred in the early morning hours of the day. This alert gives notice to citizens residing in the 002nd District (Wentworth) of burglary incidents which have occurred during the month of May. In these incidents, offender(s) gain entry through front door of apartment and take property from therein. In one instance, the victim’s vehicle was also taken from the garage. Superintendent Eddie Johnson and the Chicago Police Department are announcing today that starting this week every police officer responding to calls is now trained to use a Taser. Additionally, CPD is announcing that the police department’s body-worn camera program has officially expanded, with officers in the 14th District now wearing the cameras while on patrol and officers in the 15th District scheduled to wear the cameras in the next couple weeks.  For More Information Click Here

In these incidents, unknown offender(s) have entered apartments and residences, through windows or doors, and have taken electronics, jewelry, cash, and other miscellaneous items.
