Area Central Detectives are seeking assistance in identifying a homicide suspect. On November 1, 2015 at approximately 8:34 a.m on the 4000 block of West 31st St a 23 year old male sustained a gun shot in the chest after a male offender on foot fired a weapon before fleeing in a vehicle. The victim was transported to Mt. Sinai Hospital where he was subsequently pronounced.

This alert gives notice to the residents of the 16th District (Jefferson Park) of robbery related incidents that have occurred in the month of November. In these incidents, an unknown offender(s) used force or the threat of force by displaying a handgun and then demanding the victim’s property. Jason Hooks was arrested after he was identified as the person who criminally sexual assaulted a 31 year old female victim on November 14, 2015 at approximately 3:00 a.m., prompting a Community Alert to be issued. This incident occurred on the 600 block of S. Plymouth Court. After the female victim exited the CTA Redline stop at Harrison and State the offender followed her, struck her with a blunt object, and forced her to a secluded area where he sexually assaulted her. The victim sustained serious injuries and was taken to Mercy Hospital for treatment. No further information is available at this time.

This alert gives notice to citizens residing in the 001st District of a recent Criminal Sexual Assault. On November 14, 2015, between the hours of 3:00-3:35 a.m., a 31 year old female victim exited the CTA Redline at Harrison and State and was followed by an unknown male offender. The victim was walking southbound in the 600 block of South Plymouth Court when the offender grabbed the victim and struck her with a blunt object. He then forced the victim to a secluded area where he sexually assaulted her. The offender took the victim’s purse and fled in an unknown direction.

This alert gives notice to citizens in the 012th District of robbery related incidents that have occurred in the 12th District during the month of November. In these incidents, two offenders approach the victim on the street and rob the victim of personal property by either knocking the victim down or implying he has a gun. Incident times and locations are listed below:
Chicago Police Officers respond to an “Assist CFD” call in the 3100 block of N. Marmora this morning at 8:20 a.m. First responders on the scene, Field Training Officer Robert Cavaiani and Probationary Police Officer Nicholas Picicci, located a 62 year old man inside his residence having a medical emergency. The man was unresponsive and not breathing. Officers immediately began CPR and continued until CFD arrived. The Chicago Fire Department transported the man to Community First Hospital where he was stabilized. Staff at the hospital accredits the actions of responding Officers as a key factor in helping save this man’s life. This is P.P.O. Picicci’s first day on the job and one he won’t forget.
The Chicago Police Department will be conducting a DUI Strike Force Patrol in the 020th District (Lincoln) and 009th District (Deering) this weekend. The DUI Strike Force Patrol will commence in the 9 th District at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, November 6, 2015 and end at 3:00 a.m on Saturday, November 7, 2015. The DUI Strike Force Patrol will commence in the 20th District at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 7, 2015 and end at 3:00 a.m. on Sunday, November 8, 2015.
On November 2, 2015 9-year-old Tyshawn Lee was shot and killed in an alley on the 8000 block of S. Damen. Save Our Children – St. Sabina is offering reward money for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the offenders responsible for murdering Tyshawn Lee.
