On May 12, 2016 at approximately 7:30 AM, a 17 year old female was walking eastbound on the 2400 block of West Cortland, when she was approached by the below described offender. The offender attempted to engage the victim in conversation and as she continued to walk the offender grabbed the victim’s buttocks from behind. The victim turned to face the offender and observed him raise his jacket and expose his genitals to her. The offender then fled westbound on Cortland.

This alert gives notice to the residents of the 25th District (Grand Central) of several recent residential burglaries that have occurred on Beat 2521. In these incidents, an unknown offender has forcibly entered the front or rear door of the residence, or has climbed through an unlocked window and removed miscellaneous property.

On May 5, 2016 at approximately 5:00 p.m., a 15-year-old female was walking eastbound in the 5500 block of W. Balmoral Avenue, when she was approached from behind by an unknown male. The male subject placed his hand over the victim’s mouth and forced her toward the alley. The offender then grabbed the victim’s breasts and groin area. The victim was able to break free and flee from the offender. The offender’s direction of flight is unknown.
