Ronald Sparks was arrested on May 11, 2015 at approximately 1:45 a.m. in the 800 block of N. State Street. An Action K9 Security Agent observed Sparks smoking inside a CTA rail car. The agent observed that Sparks also matched the description of a wanted criminal sexual assault offender from May 10, 2015 at 5:00 a.m. Sparks was detained until Chicago Police arrived. Sparks was identified as the offender who attacked a 27 year old female CTA passenger on a southbound Red Line train. Sparks was arrested and charged accordingly. No further information is available at this time.

This alert gives notice to the residents of the 11th District (Harrison) of several burglaries that have
occurred in the month of April. In these incidents, unknown offender(s) make entry into apartments
and take property.
Incident times and locations:
• 2400 Block of West Polk Street on April 10th, 2015 at 1:00 p.m.
• 2700 Block of West Flournoy Street on April 20, 2015 from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• 2400 Block of West Flournoy Street on April 24, 2015 from 7:45 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
• 2400 Block of West Harrison Street on April 29, 2015 at 1: 07 p.m.

This alert gives notice to citizens in the 009th District (Deering) of armed robbery/vehicular hijacking incidents which have occurred during the months of April. In these incidents, one to three offenders approach victims, display a handgun and demand their property and/or their vehicle. Incident times and locations are listed below:
• 5100 Block of South California on April 10, 2015 at 12:30 AM.
• 5300 Block of South Mozart on April 25, 2015 at 11:30 PM.

About the Offenders:
Offenders are described as:
Male, Hispanics, 18-30 years of age, 140-160lbs., medium complexion

This alert gives notice to citizens residing in the 008th District of an armed robbery incident which occurred during the month of April. In this incident, the pictured male offender, after ordering a pizza, jumped over the counter, displayed a kitchen knife and removed cash from the register.

Incident times and locations:

  • 7900 Block of S. Cicero Ave. on April 19th, 2015 at approx. 1:00pm.

Offender’s description:

  • Male black, mid 20’s, 5’10”-6’0” approx. 180-200 lbs., wearing a black skull cap, black and white patterned jacket and dark jeans.

Area North Detectives are for assistance from the public to help identify the above subject. He is wanted in connection with burglaries from several condo buildings. Once the suspect gained access to the building and/or parking garage, he would burglaries vehicles and take other items that include mail, and bicycles. There are 15 separate victims involving RD# HY-187630. He is observed using some kind of pry tool to enter through the lobby doors. The suspect has also been seen with a shopping cart during these incidents.

Offender’s description:

The subject can be described as a heavy set male black with a bald head and a mustache and has been seen wearing a hoody.

This alert gives notice to businesses in the 25th districts of a pattern of burglaries being committed. The offenders make forced entry into the businesses by various means and takes property.

Incident times and locations:

  • 3000 block of N. Pulaski on 04 April 2015, between 12:01 a.m – 6:00 a.m.
  • 4700 block of W. Fullerton on 08 April 2015, at 00:01 a.m.
  • 4900 block of W. Fullerton between 17-20 April 2015, 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 a.m.
  • 3600 block of W. Diversey on 23 April 15, 10:30 p.m.

Kizzie Cunningham, 37 was arrested on April 26, 2015 at approximately 1:10 p.m. Chicago Police Area North Detectives released a surveillance photo to the public asking for help in identifying a suspect. As a result, several tips about the suspect aided investigators in apprehending Cunningham. She was charged accordingly. Detectives are still seeking her co-offender. She can be described as a female black in her 40s, approximately 5’06”, 180-200 lbs, with long brown hair and a dark leather jacket. This second suspect goes by the name “Dawn”. Anyone with additional information is asked to contact the Bureau of Detectives –Area North at 312-744-8263.
