Off-Duty CPD Detective and CFD Firefighter Save 5 from Capsized Boat in Lake Michigan
Off Duty Area South Detective Jackson and CFD Fireman Strong were enjoying the beautiful summer weather on June 10, 2016 near the 6500 block of South Lakeshore Dr. at approximately 8:20 p.m. The two were riding their jet skis when then they came across a capsized 16 foot speed boat and 4 people in the 60 degree water. They quickly learned that there was 5th person missing. The Detective immediately called 911 and then both went into action. They soon discovered the 5th person under the boat surviving in an air pocket. The Detective and Fireman shuttled the victims to the shore were emergency personal was waiting.
CPD BUSINESS ALERT- Wanted for Robbery of Delivery Drivers 025th District
This business alert is to inform local businesses of three Robbery incidents that have occurred in the 25th District. In these incidents, multiple offenders approach the victim who is making a food order delivery. In two cases, the offenders are armed and in one case a group of offenders commit a strong arm robbery against the driver. The offenders take the food order, cell phone and USC from the delivery driver.

About the Crime:
On Sunday, June 5, 2016, at approximately 7:30pm, on the 3000 block of South Kedvale Ave, an unknown male attempted to lure a 16-year-old female.

This alert gives notice to citizens residing in the 002nd District (Wentworth) of burglary incidents which have occurred during the month of April. In these incidents, offender(s) gain entry into a residence and take property from therein. In one instance, a victim investigating noises by his rear door was sprayed with an unknown, white cloudy substance.

CPD COMMUNITY ALERT- Garage Burglaries 016th District
This alert gives notice to the residents of the 016th District (Jefferson Park) of several garage burglaries that have occurred in the month of April within the boundaries of Elston to Montrose and Cicero to Central. In these incidents, unknown offender(s) gained entry by forcibly kicking or prying open the overhead or side door and windows. Offender(s) then entered the garage and took construction tools, bicycles, lawn equipment, air compressor and radio speakers.

This alert gives notice to citizens in the 002nd District (Wentworth) of robbery related incidents that have occurred during the month of April. In these incidents, the offender approached victims and asked to use their cell phones. When the victim refused, they were attacked and the phone was physically taken.
