In the 8600 block of S. Aberdeen at approximately 5:19 p.m., a 48-year-old male victim was inside of a residence and in a verbal altercation with an unknown offender when the offender produced a firearm and fired shots at the victim. The victim sustained a gunshot wound to the face and was pronounced on scene. A weapon was recovered on scene. Area Two Detectives are investigating.
