Officers in the 18th District have partnered with the Greater Chicago Food Depository to collect food for those in need this holiday season. The efforts are part of the “1 City, 1 Food Drive” campaign.
There is a barrel set up in the 18th District main lobby at 1160 N. Larrabee Ave. It is available around the clock for donation drop offs until Dec. 14, 2014.
Most Needed Items:
Grain: Rice, Pasta, Cereal
Protein: Bean, Peanut Butter, Canned Tuna
Dairy: Shelf-Stable Milk
Fruit and Vegetables: Canned Vegetable, Canned Fruit
Shelf Stable Grocery Items: Stew, Jelly, Macaroni & Cheese,
Chili, Soup, Pasta Sauce
