19 May 19 - Child Luring Community Alert
On May 18, 2019 at 7:40 p.m. at 7100 S Normal Blvd the offender followed the female juvenile victim in his vehicle to 7000 S. Normal Blvd and blocked her path. The offender then blew his vehicle horn and gestured for the victim to come to him.

19 May 19 - Wanted for Attempt Child Luring 19th Dist
On May 15, 2019, at approximately 7:15 a.m., a male juvenile was running eastbound on the 1000 Block of West Wolfram St.  A vehicle stopped next to him and a male subject motioned for the male juvenile to come towards him.  The male juvenile continued on his way and heard multiple horn sounds from the vehicle.  The male juvenile turned around and observed the male had exited the vehicle.

17 May 19 - 018th District Motor Vehicle Theft Pattern
This alert gives notice to residents of the 018th District of motor vehicle thefts that are occurring in Beats 1824, 1832, 1833, and 1834. In each of the incidents, the victims’ vehicle is parked, unoccupied, and running with the keys in the ignition when an offender will approach after being dropped off nearby. An offender will enter the victim vehicle and drive away from the scene. During (2) of these incidents, the victims described the offender vehicle as being a silver Chevy sedan.

This alert gives notice to citizens residing in the 002nd (Wentworth) District of robbery related incidents during the month of April and May. In each incident the victim is approached by two (2) Male offenders who display a handgun and demand victims’ property. These incidents have occurred during the late evening, early morning hours in the general geographical locations listed below:

13 May 19- Business Alert Retail Thefts - 18th District
This alert gives notice to businesses of the 018th District of reported retail thefts from businesses. In each incident, the offenders enter the business and take cellular phones that are offered for sale. The offenders then flee the store on foot making good their escape. These incidents are occurring in Beat 1822.

12 May 19 - Comm Alert Att CSA 1st District JC258411
On Friday, May 10, 2019, at 11:17 pm, on the lakefront bike path at 700 block of S. Lake Shore Drive, an unknown male African American offender attempted to criminally sexually assault a 27 year old female. The offender approached her from behind as she walked southbound on the bike path at the lakefront. The 27 year old female struggled with the offender and attempted to deploy pepper spray. The offender was startled by a cyclist which caused him to flee and the 27 year old female made good her escape and flagged down officers.  The victim refused any medical attention at the time.

11 May 19 - Community Alert - 19th District Burglary - 19-N-127 (CA)
This alert gives notice to the residents in the 19th District of two recent burglaries. In burglaries to multiunit buildings. The offender makes unlawful entry through front or side doors during the evening and overnight hours. Once inside, the offender removes property from storage areas before fleeing.
