This alert gives notice of recent robberies that have occurred in the 011th District. In these incidents, the offender approached victims and, after displaying a black handgun, racks its slide.

This alert gives notice to businesses of an aggravated battery to a taxi cab driver which occurred in the 11th District (Harrison) on May 31, 2017 on the 700 block of N. Avers at approximately 1:02 a.m. During this incident, the offender contacted a cab company and requested a cab.  As the driver waited at the location for the fare the unknown offender approached and shot the driver.  For more information click here.

On April 24, 2017 at approximately 4:30 a.m., a 28-year-old female was walking eastbound on the 7900 block between S. Michigan & Wabash, when an unknown offender approached her from behind and forced her into the alley. The offender then displayed a knife and dragged the victim to the rear of the 7800 block of South Michigan where he sexually assaulted and robbed her.  For more information click here.

This alert gives notice to citizens residing in the 1st (Central) District of robbery related incidents
during the month of March and April. Unknown offenders have approached drivers of vehicles
stopped in traffic. The offenders are exiting the vehicle they are in, displaying handguns and ordering
drivers from their cars. Offenders have also demanded wallets and cell phones. For more information click here.

This alert gives notice to the residents of the 20th District (Lincoln) to recent Strong Armed Robberies that have occurred within the District. During these incidents, the lone female victims were approached by the offender(s) on foot. The offender(s) pushed the victims and took property that the victims were holding in their hands before fleeing.

This alert gives notice to businesses within the 16th District (Jefferson Park) about recent burglaries which have occurred overnight during the month of April. In these incidents, unknown offender(s) gained entry to the premises by forcibly kicking or prying open the front or rear door. Offender(s) also have gained entry by breaking the front windows of the business. Once inside, the offender(s) took money and various other items including electronics and cigarettes.
