In each of the incidents, the victims’ vehicle (motorized scooter) is parked, unoccupied and on the public way when it is stolen. These incidents occurred on Beats 1813, 1821, 1823, and 1834.

In all of these incidents, the victims left the key in the vehicle and had possession of the keys at the time of theft.

19 Jul 20 - Community Alert - 003rd, 004th, 006th Districts Vehicular Hijackings - CA P20-CWP-009This alert gives notice to the community of the 003rd, 004th and 006th Districts of recently reported Vehicular Hijacking incidents. In all of these incidents, 4-6 armed offenders approached citizens while they parked their vehicles or pulled into gas stations. They then demanded their vehicles and property. In two of the incidents shots were fired but no injuries were reported.
