This alert gives notice to citizens residing in the 002nd District (Wentworth) of burglary related incidents during the month of June. In these incidents, offender(s) make entry into apartments and take property from therein. These incidents have occurred at various hours of the day in the general geographical locations listed below:
- 5300 Block of S. Wabash on June 10, 2015 @ approximately 9:00 PM
- 5200 Block of S. Wabash on June 13, 2015 @ approximately 11:43 PM
- 5300 Block of S. Michigan on June 16, 2015 @ approximately 5:00 PM

This alert gives notice to citizens in the 009th District (Deering) of robbery incidents which have occurred during the month of June. In these incidents, 1-2 male black offenders approach victims and demand their property. In these incidents a handgun or knife was displayed. Incident times and locations are listed below:
- 5300 Block of South Ashland Avenue at 3:06 P.M. on June 15, 2015.
- 2100 Block of West 52nd Place at 12:01 A.M. on June 20, 2015.
About the offenders:
Offenders are described as:
- Two male blacks, 5’07″-5’09”; 20-35 years of age; dark complexion and possible cornrows on one offender.
Community Alert Armed Robberies 14th District (Shakespeare)
14th district Armed Robberies P15-N-149 Armed Robberies in which the offender is targeting small retail stores and restaurants have occurred in the 14th District. Offender robs small retail store or restaurant at gunpoint, and is seen carrying a black backpack. He retrieves a black or blue-steel pistol from his backpack or from his waistband. The offender flees on foot, and was sighted fleeing down the Blue Line subway stairs at Division and Milwaukee from the robbery on June 23, 2015.

In these incidents, offender(s) gain entry into a residence through a door or window and take property from therein. These incidents have occurred in the geographical locations listed below:

ROADSIDE SAFETY CHECK – GRAND CENTRAL (25TH) DISTRICT
The Chicago Police Department will conduct a Roadside Safety Check in the Grand Central (25th) District at 4555 W. North Ave. The Roadside Safety Check will commence at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 26th, 2015 and end at 3:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 27th, 2015.

DUI STRIKE FORCE PATROL – JEFFERSON PARK (16th) DISTRICT
The Chicago Police Department will be conducting a DUI Strike Force Patrol in the Jefferson Park (16th) District this weekend. The DUI Strike Force Patrol will commence at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 27th, 2015 and end at 3:00 a.m. on Sunday, June 28th, 2015.

Man Charged in North Lawndale Murder
Marlon Welton,20 was arrested after he was identified as the man who fatally shot a 15 year old boy. This incident occurred on June 16, 2015 at approximately 5:35 p.m. in the 1400 block of S. Millard Ave. The 15 year old was standing in a group of people during an argument when Welton fired shots striking the victim. He was taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital with a gunshot wound to the chest and later pronounced. Welton was charged accordingly. No further information is available at this time.
