28 Feb 19-Community Alert-24th District-Wanted Public Indecency
On Tuesday February 26th, 2019 between approximately 3:15 and 3:45 pm, in the area of Devon and Sheridan, an unknown male driving an older model light colored 4-door Buick sedan exposed and touched himself inappropriately in front of two females walking in the area.

This alert gives notice to citizens in the 8th District (Chicago Lawn) of robbery incidents which have occurred during the months of January/February. In these incidents, the offender contacted a victim selling gym shoes using a social media network and upon arrival at a set location announced a robbery. Incident times and locations are listed below:

This alert gives notice of Motor Vehicle Thefts that have occurred within the boundaries of the 8th District (Chicago Lawn). The offender(s) took vehicles off of the street by unknown means. In some incidents, keys were left in the vehicle.
28 Feb 19-Juvenile Charged as Adult with First-Degree MurderOn February 27th, 2019 at approximately 11:30 a.m., the above individual was taken into custody in the 2400 Block of West Belmont after being positively identified as the individual who shot a 17-year-old male with a firearm on February 25th, 2019 in the 4400 Block of West Addison, causing his death. Offender is being charged as an adult.
28 Feb 19-Juvenile Charged with First-Degree MurderOn February 27th, 2019 at approximately 11:30 a.m., the above individual was taken into custody in the 2400 Block of West Belmont after being positively identified as the individual who shot a 17-year-old male with a firearm on February 25th, 2019 in the 4400 Block of West Addison, causing his death. 27 Feb 19 - Community Alert 10th District Robberies
This alert gives notice in the 010th District (Ogden) of robbery incidents which have occurred during the month of February. In these incidents, the offender(s) approaches victim on the CTA train or just after leaving bus or train station, batters victim and demands or takes property from the victim by force.
27 Feb 19 - 19th District Child Luring JC167668
On February 27, 2019, at approximately 1:15 p.m., the juveniles were outside for recess on school grounds on the 600 block of West Drummond Place when a black vehicle stopped in the street. The unknown offender gestured his hand for the juveniles to approach and stated “I’m your Uber driver, get in the car.” The minors then sought help from a school staff member as the unknown offender drove away.
On Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at approximately 7:37 PM, 4th District officers observed an armed subject in the 7400 block of South Bennett. Officers pursued the subject to the rear of a residence where an armed confrontation ensued. Officers discharged their weapons striking the offender who was transported to the University of Chicago Hospital in critical condition.
