11Nov17 - Charges for Jackson, Stephen and Kirkman
Jackson and Kirkman were arrested in connection to several attempted and armed robberies on the city’s North Side. The offenders would contact the victims through an online application and lure the victims into a gangway where the offenders would rob them at gunpoint.  A total of nine incidents occurred between October 14, 2017 and November 9, 2017 all in the 7600 block of N. Bosworth Ave.  Area North detectives along with 24th District Officers conducted a covert investigation that led to the arrests of the offenders on November 9, 2017 in the 7600 block of N. Bosworth at approximately 2:25 p.m.  The offenders were placed into custody and charged accordingly.  No further information is available at this time.

7 Nov 17 - Indiana Man Charge with Felony False Alarm (Taylor, Cleadus J
On November 5, 2017, Taylor contacted Chicago Police and reported that at approximately 4:40 p.m. on the 8500 block of S. Cottage Grove, his car was stolen by two unknown offenders while still occuppied by an 8-year-old female juvenile.  Further investigation by Area South Detectives revealed that Taylor had fabricated the story and deliberately misled Officers regarding the circumstances of the incident; specifically that the car was occupeid at the time of the theft. Taylor was placed into custody and charged accordingly. No additional details are available at this time.

05Nov17 - Charges for Juvenile in Police Shooting
Officers responded to a call of shots fired in the 6700 block of S. Ridgeland on November 5, 2017 at approximately 1:43 a.m.  When officers arrived they saw the offender fleeing the scene.  Officers pursued the offender on foot during which the offender fired several shots in the direction of the uniformed officers.  The officers returned fire and continued pursuing the offender into an alley where he was placed into custody. A weapon was recovered on the scene along with an unknown controlled substance.  No injuries were reported. No further information is available at this time.

01Nov17 - Charges for Norwood, Marcus
Norwood was arrested and charged after being identified as the offender that entered a restaurant armed with a handgun and announced a robbery.  The incident occurred on October 30, 2017 in the 0-100 block of E. Ontario at approximately 11:48 p.m. Norwood located several employees in a locker room and restrained them and then proceeded to take their personal property.  Norwood then discharged his weapon striking a male employee, 28, in the right arm.  Norwood fled the scene on foot and was located and arrested by responding 18th District Officers in the 0-10 block of E. Chicago Ave. without incident.  No further information is available at this time.
