008th District (Chicago Lawn)

About the Crime:

This alert gives notice to citizens residing in the 008th District (Chicago Lawn) of

burglary incidents that occurred during the month of June. In these incidents, the

offender(s) gained entry into a residence through a rear window/door and removed

property from therein. Incident times and locations listed below:

4700 Block of S. Tripp Ave on 06 June, 2017 at approximately 01:00 P.M.

4700 Block of S. Tripp Ave on 06 June, 2017 at approximately 01:57 P.M.

4700 Block of S. Kildare Ave on 11 June, 2017 at approximately 11:07 P.M.

Offender Description:

Male Hispanic, 5’07” to 5’09” tall, 160 to 175 lbs., 20 to 30 years of age

What you can do:

Keep the perimeter of your property well lit

Report suspicious activity immediately

Keep doors and windows secured

Immediately repair any broken windows, doors or locks

If video surveillance is available, save and make a copy of the incident for

investigating detectives.

Make an agreement with your neighbors to watch each other’s homes for suspicious activity.

If you are a victim do not touch anything, call police immediately

If approached by a witness to the incident, request contact information

08 Jun 17 – Charges for Marco robertson, 26 – MurderMarco Robertson was arrested in connection to the domestic-related murder of a 44-year-old male that occurred on the 2100 block of W. 54th Street at approx. 4 a.m. on June 8th, 2017. He was charged after he was identified as the offender who fatally stabbed the victim in the body during a domestic-related altercation that turned physical. The victim was pronounced on scene as a result of his wounds and Robertson was arrested by responding officers, without incident. No further information is available at this time.

This alert gives notice to the citizens in the 8th District (Chicago Lawn) of robbery incidents which have occurred during the month of May. In these incidents, the offenders approach the victim and demand property.
Incident Times and Locations:
• 3200 Block of W. 65th Place on May 20, 2017 at approximately 12:05 a.m.
• 6600 Block of S. Troy Street on May 29, 2017 at approximately 4:00 a.m.

A 16-year-old female juvenile was arrested after she was identified as the offender who robbed two female victims while riding the Pink Line train. On May 4, 2017 at approximately 1:30 p.m., the offender approached a female victim, 19-years-old, and took the victim’s mobile phone from the victim’s hand and fled the scene. On May 8, 2017 at approximately 9:10 p.m., the offender approached a 20-year-old female victim while she exited the train and took the victim’s mobile phone. The offender struck the victim, sprayed her with pepper spray and fled the scene. The offender was apprehended on May 29, 2017 and during processing she became irate and spit on an Officer. Offender Charged with Multiple Felonies, Including Attempted Murder of a Chicago Police Officer   

 

 Offender:      Kayin Wise, 18

Chicago, IL

 

Charges:       One Felony Count of Receive or Possession of a stolen vehicle

One Felony Count of Aggravated Battery to a Peace Officer

One Felony Count of Aggravated Fleeing from the police/21 MPH

One Felony Count of Aggravated UUW/ Loaded no FOID CARD

One count of Attempt Murder

 

Court:            Case will be presented in Central Bond Court at 26th & California

May 26, 2017

 

Narrative:      The offender was charged with multiple felonies, including attempted murder of a Chicago Police Officer, after the offender crashed his vehicle into a Chicago Police Officer on the 1600 block of North LeClaire. The offender pinned the Police Officer between two vehicles, causing serious injuries to the Officer. The case against this offender will be presented in Central Bond Court today. No further information is available at this time.
