On Sunday, October 1, 2017, at approximately 7:55 pm in the 1000 block of West 18th Street, an unknown male approached the 29 year old female victim from behind as she walked eastbound on the sidewalk. The offender grabbed victim from behind, struck her in the stomach and covered her mouth with his hand. The offender then picked the victim up and attempted to carry her towards a vehicle parked on the street. The victim screamed for help and attempted to fight the offender off. Two citizens observed the struggle, and as they approached to intervene, the offender dropped the victim and ran to the parked vehicle. The offender then entered the vehicle and fled west bound on 18th Street.

About the Crime:
Between the approximate dates of May 22, 2017 and June 22, 2017 an individual
exposed himself to a citizen in the immediate area of child day care center in the
vicinity of North and California avenues. The offender has recently been seen back
in the immediate area of the previously unreported incident.

Incident times and location:
2700 block of West North Avenue on September 15, 2017 at approximately 10:18am

About the Offender:
The offender was described as a male Hispanic, approximately 30-35 years of age,
approximately 5’08” 180lbs, dark hair with a full mustache and beard. The offender
was most recently seen wearing a red t-shirt with dark blue jeans.

What you can do:
• Call 911 to report any suspicious persons or activity
• Be aware of this situation and alert your neighbors
• Do not let children walk alone. Identify safe havens along your child’s route to
school, such as businesses or trusted neighbors
• Don’t allow strangers access to your building
• Be aware of your surroundings
