16 Jan 19- Community Alert- 15th District-Armed Robberies
This alert gives notice to the residents in the 15th District (Austin) of three recent armed robberies. In those robberies, the victims arranged to purchase items listed for sale on social media. Upon arriving to the agreed upon meeting location, one to three male black offenders confronted the victims. One offender displayed a handgun then demands and receives property.
15 JAN 19- Community Alert- 002nd District- Armed Robberies (P19-1-12)
This alert gives notice to residents of the 002nd (Wentworth) District of recent armed robberies. In each incident, the offender approached the victims and directed them into a nearby alley where the offender took the victim’s property or attempted to take the victim’s property.
14 Jan 19 - 9th District Burglary P19-1-010CA 13 Jan 19-Community Alert-Residential Burglaries P19-N-011(CA)-NPThis alert gives notice to residents in the 25th District (Grand Central) of recent residential burglaries that have occurred on beat 2511. In these incidents, an offender(s) made forcible entry into the residence, primarily through a rear door or window. After entering the residences, the unknown offender(s) stole property from within.
11 Jan 19-Community Alert-Strongarm Robberies-11th District
This alert gives notice of recent cellphone thefts and a robbery that have occurred at the CTA Blue Line stops of 530 S Pulaski and 530 S Kedzie in the 011th District. In these incidents the offender, will wait till a CTA train is stopping at the two CTA stops, then the Offender “snatches” (steal with a rapid movement) a cell phone from victim on the CTA train. Offender then flees the station. Times and locations are listed below:
11 Jan 19-Community Alert-Armed Robberies, Vehicular Hijacking
This alert gives notice of recent armed robberies that have occurred. In these incidents typically, a lone male victim arranges to meet a female, usually for the purpose of sexual gratification via the internet. Usually the victim travels to the 4200 block of West Wilcox to meet the female. Once there multiple male offenders approach and rob victim of person items (sometimes including a vehicle).
