Female victims are walking or standing on the public way, when numerous offenders are grabbing the victim’s cell phones or purses and fleeing on foot. This alert gives notice to citizens of the 004th District (South Chicago) and of Beat 413 of a recent Aggravated Criminal Sexual Assault: Handgun which occurred on January 15th, 2019 at 06:30 P.M. when a 29-year-old female was walking to a residence. While walking under the viaduct in the 9400 Block of S. Woodlawn Ave, she was approached by a male offender who asked her for money. The victim replied that she did not have any money. The offender then produced a silver/chrome short barreled revolver and forced the victim up on top of the rail road tracks where he sexually assaulted the victim at gun point and threatened to kill her. The offender was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black facemask and dark-colored pants.

This alert gives notice to the residents in the 15th District (Austin) of three recent armed robberies. In those robberies, the victims arranged to purchase items listed for sale on social media. Upon arriving to the agreed upon meeting location, one to three male black offenders confronted the victims. One offender displayed a handgun then demands and receives property.
