012th District (Near West)
About the Crime:
This alert gives notice in the 012th District (Near West) of burglary related incidents
which have occurred during the month of January. In these incidents, the offender
made entry into the apartment through the window and takes property from within.
These incidents have occurred in the geographical locations listed below.
The incidents are listed below:
• 2000 Block of West Haddon Avenue on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 between
9:00AM and 10:30PM
• 2600 Block of West Haddon Avenue on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 between
7:30PM and 10:15PM
• 2600 Block of West Thomas Street between Saturday, January 20, 2018,
4:00PM and Sunday January 21, 2018 1:00AM
• 800 Block of North Marshfield Avenue on Monday, January 22, 2018 between
5:15AM and 9:40PM
About the Offenders:

What you can do:
• Always be aware of your surroundings
• Report suspicious activity immediately
• If you are confronted by an assailant remain calm
• Remember any unique physical characteristics (scars, limp, acne, teeth, etc…)
• Never pursue a fleeing assailant, provide the information to the police
• If video surveillance equipment is present, please save a copy of the incident for
investigating detectives
• If approached by a witness to the incident, request contact information
• Dial 9-1-1 immediately and remain on scene when possible
