This alert gives notice to residents of the 012th District (Near West) of an increase in burglary related incidents during the month of January. Unknown offender(s) forcibly enter residences by prying doors and windows to take property. These incidents have occurred during daytime hours in the general geographical locations listed below:

The Chicago Police Department will be conducting a DUI Strike Force Patrol in the Monroe (12th) District. The DUI Strike Force Patrol will commence at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 20th, 2014 and end at 3:00 a.m. on Sunday, December 21st, 2014. The purpose of this program is to saturate a  pre-designated area with roving police.

This alert gives notice to citizens and businesses in the 012th District (Near West) of robbery incidents which have occurred during the month of November. In these incidents, a lone offender approaches victims (one operating a taxicab), displays a handgun and threatens to shoot the victim if they do not give up property.

These incidents have occurred at various hours of the day in the general geographical locations listed below:

2300 Block of W. Cortez St. between November 30 and December 1, 2014.
900 Block of N. Honore St. on December 2, 2014 during the daytime hours.
900 Block of N. Hoyne Ave. on December 4, 2014 during the evening hours.
1800 Block of W. Haddon Ave. on December 5, 2014 during the daytime hours.
2300 Block of W. Rice St. on December 8, 2014 during the daytime hours.

Shooting – Aggravated Battery | 229 S. Western | Case HX366025

The shooter is described as a male black, light complexion, wearing a royal blue jogging outfit with a white logo on the left chest and left leg.

The wanted vehicle is described as a four door, silver Pontiac Grand Prix with tinted windows all around. Possible 2006 model. It had a black license plate holder with white dealership lettering.
