The Chicago Police Department will be conducting a DUI Strike Force Patrol in the Albany Park (17th) District this weekend. The DUI Strike Force Patrol will commence at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 6th, 2015 and end at 3:00 a.m. on Sunday, June 7th, 2015.
017thDist Wanted for Burglary_Four recent Burglary related incidents have occurred in the 17th District on beat 1722. In two cases, unknown offenders pried open the victim’s door and in two other cases, offenders entered through an unlocked door. The offenders have taken jewelry, cash, laptops, and small electronics.
About the crime:
Two garbage receptacle fires occurred on Beat 1723. Person unknown appear to have ignited available materials inside the receptacles with an open flame. On one occasion the fire communicated to a coach house and caused severe injury to a 4 year old male resident.
The Chicago Police Department will be conducting DUI Strike Force Patrols in the 3rd (Grand Crossing) District and in the 25th (Grand Central) District this weekend.
The 3rd District DUI Strike Force Patrol will begin at 7 p.m. on Friday, April 3, 2015 and end at 3 a.m. on Saturday, April 4, 2015.
The DUI Strike Force Patrol will commence in the 25th District at 7 p.m. on Saturday, April 4, 2015 and end at 3 a.m. on Sunday, April 5, 2015.
Medina and Marchan were arrested after they were identified as the persons who entered several retail businesses in the 17th and 25th districts from February 1st to March 25, 2015 and robbed the establishments. Medina entered the businesses announced a robbery and displayed a handgun on two of the incidents and a knife in the others, before demanding money and property. Medina would then flee in a vehicle driven by Marchan. Area North detectives issued a Business Alert on March 17, 2015 informing the business owners in the area. There have been two recent Commercial Robberies in the 17th District. In these cases, a male white offender enters the business, displays a chrome handgun and demands money from the register.
About This Crime:
On January 20, 2015, at approximately 3:15 p.m., a 10 year-old male and an 8 year old female were walking home from school on the 3900 block of N. Spaulding Ave., when a vehicle containing two male subjects attempted to engage the children in conversation. The passenger of said vehicle requested the children to come over to his vehicle, stating he would offer them a ride home or anywhere they wish to go. After the children didn’t respond, the passenger offered them candy and appeared like he was going to exit his vehicle. The children fled to their residence and the vehicle drove away.
About the Crime:
There have been four recent Commercial Burglaries in the 17th District. In these cases, an unknown offender shatters the front glass door/window of a business with a brick or concrete block, enters the business, and takes property from the business.
About the Crime:
On 5 January 2015, at approximately 8:45 PM, a 13 year old female was walking home from a friend’s house in the 3700 block of west Ainslie when an adult male offender approached her from behind. The offender uttered unknown words to her in Spanish and grabbed the victim’s buttocks. The victim began to scream and the offender fled through a nearby gangway.
