Community Alert Armed Robberies 6th District P18-02-049CA
This alert gives notice to four recent Armed Robberies that have occurred in the Auburn Gresham neighborhood on beat 631. In these incidents, two to four unknown offenders approach the victim as they walk on the street. The offenders typically display a black handgun and take their personal property. The offenders have taken cell phones, purses and wallets. The incidents occur from 80th St to 81st St and from Drexel Ave to Dobson Ave.
05 Jun 18 - 006th District Attempt Abduction
This alert gives notice to a recent attempted child abduction. On June 5th 2018 at/around 79th and Morgan Chicago IL, two male blacks driving a white GMC Van attempted to snatch a child into this van while the child was with her mother. A second incident occurred involving a similar description of a white GMC Van attempting to lure some children into this van at/around 85th and Green near Gresham Elementary School. Both incidents occurred in the 006th District Gresham.

This alert gives notice to four recent Armed Robberies that occurred within the boundaries of the 6th District in the Chatham neighborhood. In these cases, up to four male offenders displayed a handgun and demanded the victim’s belongings. Two of the incidents involved victims arriving at the location to buy products from an online buy/sell ad. The offenders then ran into apartment buildings located on the 900 block of East 81st street.
22 March 18 CPD Alert Area South Burglaries (P18-02-025)
This alert gives notice to residents of Area South of recent residential burglaries that have occurred. In these incidents, unknown offender(s) forcibly broke into lock boxes and removed keys and entered apartments and residences. The offender(s) took property from within.
06 Mar 18-Robberies in the 003, 004, and 006th Districts
This alert gives notice to businesses in the 3rd, 4th, and 6th Districts of robbery related incidents which have occurred during the month of February. In these incidents, an offender entered the stores and approaches the cashier. Offender then produced a silver revolver and demanded that the cashier open the register/drawer. In one instance, the offender leaned over and took money from drawer. Offender then fled in what is described as a black or dark colored vehicle with front end damage and a spare tire on the passenger side. Incident times and locations are listed below:
