DUI STRIKE FORCE PATROLS – CHICAGO LAWN (8th) & NEAR WEST (12th) DISTRICTS
The Chicago Police Department will be conducting DUI Strike Force Patrols in the Chicago Lawn (8th) and Near West (12th) Districts this weekend. The DUI Strike Force Patrol in the Chicago Lawn (8th) District will begin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, May 22nd, 2015 and end at 3:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 23rd, 2015. The DUI Strike Force Patrol will commence in the Near West (12th) District at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 23rd, 2015 and end at 3:00 a.m. on Sunday, May 24th, 2015.
Chicago Lawn Man Charged in Lake View Robbery
Officers responded to a “holding citizen” call in the 3100 block of N Southport on May 18, 2015 at approximately 10:00 p.m. Jaleel Johnson was observed following a 21 year old female into the vestibule of her building. Upon entry, he grabbed her, pushed her to the ground, and took her purse before fleeing. Three male adult witnesses pursued Johnson and caught him a short distance away. They detained him until police arrived. Johnson was identified by the victim as the offender and charged accordingly. The victim refused medical attention and her purse and the contents within were recovered. No further information available at this time.

About the Crime:
On May 06, 2015 at approximately 7:00 AM, an unknown male White Hispanic grabbed a female jogging eastbound on the 3900 block of west 71st Street in the Marquette Park area. The unknown male fled westbound on 71st Street. toward Pulaski after the incident.

CPD Community Alert: 008th District Armed Robbery
This alert gives notice to citizens residing in the 008th District of an armed robbery incident which occurred during the month of April. In this incident, the pictured male offender, after ordering a pizza, jumped over the counter, displayed a kitchen knife and removed cash from the register.

- 7900 Block of S. Cicero Ave. on April 19th, 2015 at approx. 1:00pm.
Offender’s description:
- Male black, mid 20’s, 5’10”-6’0” approx. 180-200 lbs., wearing a black skull cap, black and white patterned jacket and dark jeans.

Man Charged in 2013 Fatal Traffic Crash

Ochoa was arrested and charged in connection to a fatal traffic crash that killed a three-year-old male. The incident occurred on the 3900 block of W. 47th St. on July 20, 2013 at approximately 10:20 p.m. The victim ran onto the street from between two parked cars and was struck by Ochoa. The victim was transported to Christ where he was later pronounced. Ochoa was cited for the accident and it was later determined through the course of the investigation that Ochoa was under the influence of a controlled substance. An investigative alert was issued and Ochoa was stopped on a traffic violation on April 26, 2015 and charged accordingly.

On March 07, 2015 at approximately 12:15 PM, an unknown male attempted to lure a female minor into his vehicle. The female youth refused and ran away. The offender at this time fled in the vehicle. This incident occurred in the vicinity of the 7100 S Mozart Ave.
