This alert gives notice in the 012th District (Near West) of robbery incidents which have occurred during the month of February.  In these incidents, the offender(s) using a previously stolen vehicle, approach victim(s), display a handgun(s) and demand or take property from the victim.

This alert gives notice to numerous Motor Vehicle Thefts that have occurred within the area of the 009th District (Deering) in the month of January. In most of these Motor Vehicle Thefts, the keys to the vehicle were left in the vehicle, and the 28 Jan 18- 9th District Community Alert-Motor Vehicle Thefts
unknown offender(s) take the vehicle.

This alert gives notice to citizens residing in the 009th District (Deering) of burglary 28 Jan18- 9th District Community Alert-Burglary
incidents which have occurred during the month of January. In these incidents,offender(s) gained entry into residential homes by posing as utility workers and take property from therein. These incidents have occurred at various hours of the
day in the general geographical locations listed below.

About the Crime:
This alert gives notice in the 012th District (Near West) of burglary related incidents
which have occurred during the month of January. In these incidents, the offender
made entry into the apartment through the window and takes property from within.
These incidents have occurred in the geographical locations listed below.
The incidents are listed below:
• 2000 Block of West Haddon Avenue on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 between
9:00AM and 10:30PM
• 2600 Block of West Haddon Avenue on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 between
7:30PM and 10:15PM
• 2600 Block of West Thomas Street between Saturday, January 20, 2018,
4:00PM and Sunday January 21, 2018 1:00AM
• 800 Block of North Marshfield Avenue on Monday, January 22, 2018 between
5:15AM and 9:40PM

• Report suspicious activity immediately
• If you are confronted by an assailant remain calm
• Remember any unique physical characteristics (scars, limp, acne, teeth, etc…)
• Never pursue a fleeing assailant, provide the information to the police

investigating detectives
• If approached by a witness to the incident, request contact information
• Dial 9-1-1 immediately and remain on scene when possible
