About the Crime:
This alert gives notice to citizens residing in the 009th District (Deering) of burglary
incidents which occurred during the month of September. In these incidents the
offender(s) entered residences from rear windows/doors and removed property from
within. These incidents have occurred during daytime hours in the general
geographical locations listed below:
Incident times and locations:
• 2900 Block of South Archer Avenue on September 1, 2017 between the
hours of 8:30AM and 3:30PM.
• 800 Block of West 27th Street on September 5, 2017 between the hours of
11:00AM and 2:00PM.
• 1200 Block of West 31st Place on September 7, 2017 between the hours of
7:00AM and 4:00PM.
What you can do:
• Keep the perimeter of your property well lit
• Report suspicious activity immediately
• Keep doors and windows secured
• Immediately repair any broken windows, doors or locks
• If video surveillance is available, save and make a copy of the incident for
investigating detectives.
• If you are a victim do not touch anything, call police immediately
• If approached by a witness to the incident, request contact information
