Chicago Police Department (CPD) Superintendent Eddie Johnson today announced the expansion of CPD’s new predictive policing strategy to the 15th (Austin) police district on the west side. The strategy – which has already been deployed in five other south and west side police districts – makes district intelligence the driver of Chicago’s crime fight by using new technology to help police get ahead of crime and prevent violence from happening in the first place.
