DUI STRIKE FORCE PATROL – DEERING (009th) DISTRICT

The Chicago Police Department will be conducting a DUI Strike Force Patrol in the Deering

(009th) District this weekend. The DUI Strike Force Patrol will commence at 6:00 p.m. on

Saturday, December 10, 2016 and end at 2:00 a.m. on Sunday, December 11, 2016.

The purpose of this program is to saturate a pre-designated area with roving police officers

that continually monitor vehicular traffic for signs of impaired driving. Patrols also place

emphasis on speed, alcohol-related and safety belt violations. Police vehicles equipped for

speed detection are deployed to apprehend speeding violators.

In addition, the Breath Alcohol Testing (BAT) Mobile Unit may also be deployed to allow

officers to expedite the process of charging a person with Driving under the Influence (DUI)

prior to transporting an alleged into the nearest lockup for bonding. The mobile unit also allows

for Individual Recognizance Bonds (I-Bonds) to be issued at the site of the DUI Strike Force

Patrol.

The Chicago Police Department will be conducting a DUI Strike Force Patrol in the Albany

Park (17th) District this weekend. The DUI Strike Force Patrol will commence at 7:00 p.m. on

Friday, December 9, 2016 and end at 3:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 10, 2016.

Offender: Javier Villalobos-Garcia, 19

1400 block of W. Elmdale Ave.

Chicago, Illinois

Charges: Four Felony Counts of Robbery – Armed with a Firearm

Court: Central Bond Court – 2600 S. California Avenue – December 8, 2016

Narrative: Villalobos-Garcia was arrested by 20th District Officers on the 1400 block of

W. Elmdale Ave on December 7, 2016 at approximately 6:05 a.m. after being

identified as the offender in an armed robbery. On November 27, 2016 at

approximately 6:05 p.m. a 21 year-old male was approached by Villalobos-

Garcia on the 5800 block of N. Ridge Ave where Villalobos-Garcia pointed a

handgun at the male and demanded the male’s money. The victim complied

and Villalobos-Garcia fled. No further information is available.

Offender: Jeffery Randle, 33

1000 N block of N. Harding Ave.

Chicago, Illinois

Charges: One Felony Count of Robbery – Armed – Discharge Firearm/Bodily Harm

One Felony Count of Aggravated Battery/Discharge Firearm

Court: Central Bond Court – 2600 S. California Avenue – December 6, 2016

Narrative: Randle was placed into custody for the aggravated battery and robbery of a

58-year-old male, on November 13th, 2016 on the 3900 block of W. Cermak

Rd., at approximately 9:30 p.m. The male victim sustained multiple gunshot

wounds to the body during the commission of a robbery and was taken to Mt.

Sinai hospital in serious condition. Randle was charged accordingly. No

further details are available at this time.

About the Crime:

This alert gives notice to citizens residing in the 003rd District (Grand Crossing) that there was an increase in robbery related incidents during the month of November in the vicinity of: Clyde Ave-Crandon Ave,7100 South.

About This Crime

On November 21, 2016, at approximately 6:00 p.m., two juvenile females, ages 10 and 14 were playing outside in the 4000 block of W. Wabansia when an unknown driver of a green or blue vehicle pulled along the curb and motioned with his hands for the girls to come closer. When the girls approached the vehicle, the offender told them to get in so he could take them to the store.

This alert gives notice of Robberies that have occurred in the 011th District during the month of November. During these incidents, the offender took a purse from the victim at a CTA bus stop. In the last incident, the offender displayed a knife before taking the victim’s purse.

This alert gives notice of Armed Robberies that have occurred within the boundaries of the 016th District (Jefferson Park). During two of the robberies the offender approaches the victims on the street, strikes the victim in the head and takes the victim’s purse. In one case, the offender displayed a handgun, struck the victim in the head and took the victim’s purse.

Officers responded to a call of battery in progress on November 21, 2016 at 9:10pm in the 300 Block of S. Michigan Ave. Officers observed three offenders battering a male victim, 57 years old. The officers intervened and learned the three offenders had stolen the victim’s book bag and then stabbed the victim with a cutting instrument. The victim sustained four puncture wounds and was taken to Northwestern Hospital in serious but stable condition. The offenders were positively identified and placed into custody. No further information is available at this time.
